This is interesting because I current kiss cut 20 mil vinyl using the blue holder. Doesn’t even seem to flinch and cuts it very easy with not so much force.

What's the difference between the CB15U and CB15UA blades?

      Hi Colette,
It looks like CB15UA is specific to use in cutting high-intensity reflective film and harder film materials. Here's a chart on Graphtec's site that explains.

      Hope that helps!

@@ITSuppliesINC thanks but the description for the 2 blades on the chart are the same. Any idea what the UA vs U is? The UA blades cost more. Thank you!

@@ColetteFu You have to scroll down a bit on that page I sent, here's a link to the chart I'm referring to on that page. It says UA is for "high-intensity reflective film/harder film" while U is for "rigid and thick media 0.25 mm - 0.5 mm thick - laminates, smart device and device screen protection." They're similarly spec'd but Graphtec says they're used for each specific application listed.

So what's the best blade for laminated hp prime air gloss vinyl? For diecuts/cut through

Thanks for your question: We recommend the supersteel CB15U 45 degree would be better with the red holder if the thickness is greater than .25mm. If it’s less than 0.25mm in thickness that you can utilize the standard CB09UB 45degree blade with the blue holder. Here are links to both www.itsupplies.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=CB15U & www.itsupplies.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=CB09UB
