Terrific video! Very inspiring for family adventures! We too love the Benjamin's and North Channel Cruising as it is right in our back yard. Thanks for sharing.
I guess im asking randomly but does anyone know a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot my login password. I love any tips you can offer me
@Beau Garrett i really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Great video guys! Di and I have touched on some of your stops, Benjamin's and Fox as an example. Your video add new perspectives and showed the good time you all had in spades! Thanks
Although it has much more than just the North Channel, we relied heavily on the Ports cruising guide when planning our trip. Here is a link to what I'm talking about. It looks like you folks had an awesome trip. I'm a southern Georgian Bay boater. If you liked where you were, you really would like the 30,000 islands. It's a world all it's own. But I have one question. I have 3 sons and 1 daughter. After 1 week on the boat, we thought we would need to send the boys to a therapist. My daughter drove them nuts. You had 1 boy and a million girls. How high were your therapist's bill. lol
I have one girl and one boy. And now a wacak-doo fantasty to leave Lake Champlain, transit Ontario and Erie to the North Channel. Do you think I could keep my therapy bill under say 20K? ha!!!
My buddy and his family owns a small island out by little current in I’ve always thought it’d be cool to sail out and meet him there. Sailing it from Michigan would be way more enjoyable than driving it. Mind if I ask how much time i should plan for a from Traverse to Gore Bay? Should give me a rough guestimate
Hey, James. Tough to be precise about travel time from Traverse City all the way to Gore Bay, but at normal sailboat speeds (i.e. 6 knot average) you'd be looking at one long day to Mackinaw area and then another long day to Meldrum Bay (where you'd check in with Canadian Customs). Then it's a much shorter day to Gore Bay for a full-service marina and grocery (great jump off point to the area islands with full fuel, empty holding tanks, food, beverage, and ice). Really don't think there's a good way to do that full haul in only two days.
Alas, true, David. I think only our boat has a proper courtesy flag halyard off the starboard spreader. Consider us fleet representative. Hopefully none of our fine and friendly Canadian hosts were offended.
It is a constant disrespect that's played off with a cold southern chuckle ( I smile so you're supposed to excuse my ignorance) u.s mentality ..they will actually focus in a shot on the u.s flag propaganda in canadian waters ...They really lack any kind of decorum, and we are at fault for being overly invested in our polite society to point it out to them..regardless it would be futile because of their inability to be shameable...so they travel the world with u.s.a on their sails and everywhere without an ounce of understanding that nobody is impressed and all else are merely being a polite in a maner that they have little to no understanding of how to reciprocae back
Sweet video ! Fun to see our hometown folks having a good time.
Great video. Thanks for taking the time to capture, prepare, and share. My partner and I sailing through this area this summer.

Am I the only one that noticed, the lack of a Canadian flags !!!!! Only one of the three boats.

@@Gr8laker1 Seems like a silly law anyway ..... I feel sorry for all those Caribbean cruisers and the15 -20 flags you would need to own.
