So, we “put the kettle on” at least ten times a day. I’m not waiting for water to boil on a stove, making more washing up, when I can put water in a kettle, flick a switch, and it boils and turns itself off. And, they save energy, because they boil water quickly.

@nicole valle yes but electric ones are efficient in that they will turn off automatically when water is boiled, so no risk of forgetting and having unnecessary water boil away.
