Zohair Ahmed Go to Manikaran sahib, Kasol and Manali, then Rohatang, through Mandi. You'll see beautiful and different kind of mountains everywhere over there. Going up on Rohtang Pass from Manali is just superb, the Mountains are amazing. Its adventurous too, because road is only wide enough to let pass 2 cars with very little space left in b/w them. Most of the times no railing but trees on Valley side

My usual route, but I leave Mumbai very early in the morning and have breakfast when I reach Pune. I only have chai break in Lonavala.
You must be staying in western suburbs... cz we have to tackle the Malad-Goregaon and Andheri traffic and also then chose JVLR or SCLR or Sion 90ft traffic depending on the traffic... with the Versova Bridge (Bhayander) in north congested due to some construction its not feasible going via Ghodbunder Thane.
Naah man, I live in Kurla. I go via Chembur then Navi Mumbai.
Never travelled by the Thane route.
