Very important factor to consider is this version of MJ didn't have a beast like Anthony Davis - demanding a lot of attention from defenses. Jordan's second best player was Hamilton. Meaning that defenses could focus on stopping MJ without being too worried about his teammates. Another thing is this version of MJ was expending a lot of energy on the defensive side. His tenacity on defense made that team a lot better defensively. We all know Bron stopped playing tenacious defense many years ago. And the last thing is load management. MJ didn't have that luxury.
