The FUN of Soybeans & Corn but be GLAD you Don't have Cattle too...Back in the 90's would, start feeding cattle at 5:am, combine crew would come at 7, I ran auger wagon, pick wet corn for dryer till noon, change to beans (had Red combine would take appx. 2 hrs.) we would change heads then park by fuel...I would fuel combine & my tractor then cattle jobs, brother would change concaves then all settings & grease...cut soybeans till 6...then change back to corn (2 appx. hrs.) pick corn till wet bin & trucks full usually got home at 12:pm! Remember one time got in some twisted up corn but was to rain next day, so sent truck drivers home I run auger wagon & go get empty trucks...would have to about set stakes to tell if combine was moving but was small field that dad wanted to try a kind of corn on...got field done at 6:AM brother called me on radio asked what should do! I said I am already late to start feeding cattle but by the time get fueled up other people will start showing up, can go start...It DIDN'T start raining till 4:PM...Dad was MAD went home Early we could have serviced or something...LOL...Oooh the memories of Farming !!!

No issues with leaving in the spacers for corn and beans. The only reason to put them in is to lessen chipped cob in the tank. In small grains you lose some sep capacity with them in. There is no additional risk of slugging in beans with them in, but there can be in small grains / rice
