I've always had some difficulty squaring up the large drivers so I still use one of these. It's also slightly heavier which keeps my swinging in synch. it's a few yards shorter but very straight and surprisingly forgiving. Nice video!
I am playing the Titleist 975D right now, I got it off Ebay for $35 USD. I replaced my old persimmon driver. I'm like a 14 handicap. Yes, I'm old school. My irons are hogan radials. My 3 and 4 woods are still the persimmons. I can bomb the 975D 250 yards in the air. I'd love an extra 17 yards. How is that right? I should definitely get one of these new Pings!!
I was gaming a Titleist 975D 8.5* with a UST Proforce shaft. It was actually a donated from John Daly. I bought from a guy who couldn't hit it. It's 43.5 inches long. At the time I could flat out bomb it. I am still a long hitter. I was bombing old persimmon clubs as a kid and that strength just translated. I was a pitcher in little league up through high-school. So I had learned early on the benefits of weight shift and loading up in your body. I still have that little monster too. The shaft feels like a 2x4 like no flex, but if you have the speed to load it she will go just not like the new stuff
I had the 975j for comps and the 975j-vs for fun as it was illegal, got back into golf in 2017 and was talked into an M2 but I think I got the 2017 version not the 2016 as I have been now told the 2017 is rubbish, the pain I've been through to hit the M2 made me go back to the 975j-vs as it's legal now and it is as good as it was, 280 carry. Also I think you could get up to 105 CHS with a little change with you swing.
I love trying the old clubs, it's interesting to see what gains there have (or haven't been). Definitely trying to work on the swing speed. Thanks for checking out the channel.

Thanks for that! It's a classic club, had great memories from the feel and sound of it.
I still have my 975d from 98. At age 13 this was everything
I'm with you there!!

Had the 975D. Literally just bought the Cobra. 30 total yards difference, modern technology is wild.
Let us know how you get on with the Cobra!
