  • This OZ Goose Sail Boat was built by a family. Most of the build was done in Playa Laiya, San Juan, Batangas. It is an easy to sail, inexpensive boat, with very strong community support. In this case, support was provided by the Philippine Home Boatbuilders Yacht Club (PHBYC) / Taal Lake Yatch Club (TLYC). The Oz Goose can be sailed by one person or even up to a maximum of 3 people.
The Oz Goose is a 12ft sailboat which is very stable having a box planform by an Australian boat designer, Michael Storer. It is also a powerful sailer and according to TLYC, "the OZ Goose Class is one of the most respected sailboat racing classes in the Philippines."

Beautiful boat, nice job with the video. I liked seeing the entire family working together to build the boat. Did you start with a pre-cut kit?

great video ! tell me - what kind of glue composition do you use for gluing the bottom and sides (is it epoxy resin with a thickener?)

Yes, we used epoxy resin (with cabosil as thickener) for gluing the bottom and sides.
