Sketching like William Kentridge

William Kentridge, the child of two lawyers who actively fought the apartheid system, makes hand-drawn animated films that reflect on his country’s recent past. To create each sequential frame, he draws, erases, and reworks charcoal sketches, leaving traces that linger in ghostly fashion.
