By the way. Red eyes darkness dragon was the counterpart made to blue eyes shining dragon. Notice the names similarities but mostly notice that both of them lost their hands, are very polygon shaped and have coloring in almost all of the same places. Also notice they have almost the exact same effect.
It pisses me off so much that no matter how many counterparts Red Eyes has, his attack points are most of the time 2400. Wtf? You'd think after sort of upgrading itself it'd be more powerful.
let's hope the Structure Deck R series fix this by giving a new version of Darkness Dragon... the next one though is supposed to be the Diabolos Structure Deck that was only released in OCG
The Red Eyes deck can be quite competitive but it still doesn't tend to swarm the deck as aggressively with such high ATK and DEF as the Blue Eyes theme can. A friend of mine would get at least 2-3 big dragons on the field at a time pretty easily though sometimes he CAN get his hand cluttered with big dragons with nothing to do.
why would it matter? after all, the only reason people actually win a yugioh game against a player who doesn't suck is through the effects and advantages. nobody can win in a competitive setting, even in just a decent local tournament, with brainless beatdown deck. blue-eyes is only viable because of the support cards that grant the player card advantage and help create a stronger board.
Yarish Rajdev I believe you aren’t too far off. The west culture is so sensitive in certain topics that they tend to censor anything they deem offensive. I think they thought that having “Black” fully spelled out in the text on an evil looking dark dragon would be offensive to black people. The card game is notorious for having most of the West yugioh cards censored. (Just look at what they did with Mr. Popo or Jinx) Joking aside, they did censor many card names and art styles like dark magician originally being “black magician.”
Kubo Edgeworth yes but many people see red and blue as opposite fire water girl boy and just in opposite patterns pink+green and red+blue are opposite not red+green and pink+blue
2400x3/2 = only 3600 ATK. And here everyone thought Ultimate sucked...I guess you could dump 3 Red-Eyes with Fusion, but what would it's effect be? Burn?
funny you ask that, since red-eyes already has enough 3200-3500 fusion beatsticks that could be summoned through red-eyes fusion (which is a terrible card btw) that are infinitely better thant blue-eyes ultimate (or even neo blue-eyes, i'd say)
@@Lokheim can you explain really simple how I am supposed to use this ritual crap for the red eye dragon cus I have no idea. And someone powered it over 3500 which was sick. Red eyes and Blue eyes are more so depicted as yin and yang. The counter part idea also follows twins which are depiced as one personsplit in two, but i can say personally its not true. The one form of red eyes that was not mentioned in this vid is black metor dragon a fuzon between metor dragon and red eyes and one of the only forms of red eyes capable of wiping out blue eys without an effect needing to boost its attack.
I still don't know why red-eyes has less ATK and DEF than blue-eyes, I'd imagine they had same stats or inverted stats (red-eyes having 2500 ATK and 3000 DEF)
くろえ because blue eyes represents power whereas red eyes represents the potential for power. A reverse attack and defence wouldn't be exact opposites because red eyes would still then be power
Because of his name being "Red eyes b. Dragon" in Germany the SDJ Red eyes b. dragon is translated as red eyes blue dragon.. dont ask me how something like this could happen...
Red eyes - Blue eyes Black - White Sharp, a lot of spikes - Round shapes Underdog - Genius Can fuse with a lot of things (friendship?) - Can fuse only with itself or some special, chosen monsters (like Dark Paladin, I believe) Violent strenght - Pure execution
Actually because the "black" was shortened to "b." the german translaters thought it stands for "blue" and the first german versions of the card were named "Rotäugiger blauer Drache". This was fixed when the second artwork version came out.
no, it's the whole archetype. he was literally just listing all the archetypes. despite that, he didn't mention red-eyes flare metal dragon, which is probably one of the best red-eyes monsters in the game. he actually is just ignorant and all his information either comes from the anime or a few google searches.

This might be extending a long branch here, but I think the reason why red-eyes represents potential and blue eyes represents victory strongly relates to Dark Magician, red-eyes has exactly 100 less points in both ATK/DEF, making it close, but not yet reachable, as for blue eyes it has 500 more ATK (almost 500 more in DEF too) than Dark Magician, and blue eyes DEF points are the same as D.M.'s ATK meaning it won't die even in DEF position by him, giving blue eyes the complete advantage.
On a side note, I've been reading the comments about about fusing Blue eyes and red-eyes and I hope they come out with a fusion of both of them +Dark Magician to make the most powerful card, maybe like a God card, but I don't think that'll happen until the end.

2.
RED eyes BLACK dragon
BLUE eyes WHITE dragon
literally exact opposites
Technically, green is the opposite of red because it's the combination of the two primary colors that aren't red.
Kubo Edgeworth yes but many people see red and blue as opposite
fire water
girl boy
and just in opposite patterns pink+green and red+blue are opposite not red+green and pink+blue
Red eyes black dragon
Blue mouth white fairy
There's an exact opposite

Red eyes black dragon has so many counter parts that look like their stats is over 9000 but actually is lower then a regular blue eyes white dragon.
