    -- Where are you from?
    I was born and raised in the United States. I live in California.
    -- How many years have you been teaching?
    Over 20 years.
    -- What qualifications do you have?
    I have a Master's degree in linguistics with an emphasis in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)
    -- What languages do you speak?
    English is my native language. I've studied Spanish, Czech, French, a little German, and Portuguese. I speak Portuguese as my second language because my husband is from Brazil.
    -- Do you teach online?
    I have a full-time teaching job at a college in California, so I don't currently offer English lessons online. However, I may do that in the future, so check back!

    I'm from India and downloaded few books of English recommended by you.
    May you help with the answers of the book " Essential Academic Vocabulary". Where can I find this book answers?

    Hi, you're right . The words are from France. But the pronunciation isn't the same in french and in american english. It's almost different. Except for homage and coup, you, american english speakers say it like french people. Just these 2 words.

      Thanks for the comment. You're right, we don't pronounce them exactly the same way that French people do. I mentioned that these words have "aspects" of the French pronunciation. For example, "valet" is not pronounced with the t sound :)

      @@LearnAcademicEnglish You're right at 100% . By the way, I learn here that homage has 2 pronunciations. Can you make a video, about variable pronunciations of words please.
      For example I know that pecan is pronounced in 2 different way.
