Great tutorial! Tip: remove the center paper after you’ve connected the 6 hexagons. Now you can join the hexies by folding the center one with much more ease
Great tips...up until the paper hexagon was removed. I’m working on my first ever EPP hexie quilt using scraps from face masks. Am loving the relaxed hand stitching process of 1” hexagons but from everything I have learned, the paper isn’t removed until that piece is sewn to other shapes on ALL of its sides. Otherwise it’s too difficult to sew it to others. I’m still sewing fabric to hexagon pieces at this point and using a couple wonder clips to hold the fabric to the card instead of glue as well. Just wondering if anybody has done that and had good luck with piecing to other shapes...
This is the best EPP instruction. Clear, concise and using the finest thread is the key.
Thank you, glad this video could help you!
