US Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said the number of encounters at the southern border is “very high” as “the world is seeing the greatest level of displacement since at least World War II.” Mayorkas explained the US asylum process in conversation with David Rubenstein Friday at the Economic Club of Washington, D.C.
