Thanks for all the great, detailed information. I am very impressed with all the product development, innovation and concept discussed here. I have a 1st Gen 52nd St. Tenor. Excellent horn...but now I am giving some deep thought to sell and get an 852.

microphone needs to be turned 90 degrees and set to dipole mode. In that mode it picks up the same from front and rear.

soon im going switch my worn out yts875 for either a 82zII or an eastman 852!.........played an eastman 652 and the yamaha at guitar center! the look of the 852 looks incredible! im my opinion its what the selmer supreme should have been! good broadcast!

Thanks for listening! Both are great options. Having 2 necks with the 852 gives the saxophone a couple feels/sounds which makes it a pretty flexible.

I find it hard to believe you could wear out a Yamaha 875 I have played the same MKvi tenor for at least 25-30 hrs a week for 50 yrs and maintain it properly It's still great. Yamaha 875's are well built horns As a wood wind tech ( full time player 1/2 time tech) I think I know what I'm talking about You are perfectly reasonable in wanted a change in horn but if you wore it out change you habits PS for the first 10 yrs I played the horn at least eight hrs a day between practice and gigging. I just don't want you to "wearout" yoiur new horn.

@@zangsax well, you’re right! However, when I bought this yts875 used it was already in fair condition. The real issue is with the top most tone holes were already filed down to the body! Now after a few hack repairs, I’m ready to get some with less miles on the odometer!😏
