Even on the coldest day in winter, you can make it from one end of the city to the other quite comfortably in just a bathing suit by going from one old-age retirement home to another. Actually, it's more like one big retirement community without the tall fence. In the words of Macbeth: "it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing." There's various attractions for young people too, like the whole drugs-police-courts-jail carousel. They built a shopping centre to cater mainly to Czech visitors that they named NOC which means "night" in Czech but the place is never open at night or even on Sunday because nothing is, in all of Bavaria because Jesus said so. They also shut the border to CZ right after opening it, probably because Jesus told them to do that too.
Interesting perspective on things there, Sun Rabbit. I was born there in 1954 and left when I was five years old. My grand uncle owned one of the two movie theaters there in the 1950's and 60's. It was known as the Filmbuehne, but many people called it the "Spitzkino," which was a polite way way of saying Jew Theater. Such are the ways of the humans and their foibles.

Coming here to shut my water off, only to find out it was a mistake. Shutting off my electricity for non-payment after they REFUNDED all my payments for the past 6 months!! Charging me for 3 different home insurance policies which were later unified into one. Charging me for snow removal services and refusing to cancel the contract My renter’s mailbox being stolen and witnessing it and having to file police report Asshole neighbours calling police repeatedly on my neighbour’s parrot and dogs. Asshole neighbours giving me a hard time about improperly trimmed grass Nosy neighbours spying on me Neighbour’s wife stealing my gasoline Half my gasoline tank being stolen while shopping at Edeka Unopened box of After Eight chocolates set on my front lawn TWICE, 8 years apart Nosey chimmeny inspector going through all my stuff in the attic Nosey AWO personnel going through my shopping bag Nosey AWO personnel checking out and even opening my mail Renters destroying garage door, kitchen cabinets, sink, Balcony masonry surfacing changed for polystyrene surface, cost of 5000 Attempted overcharging for drain cleaning of 750 Euros Tax bill payments for the one house OK but never going through for other house and having to pay late fee each quarter.
