I like how you can kinda feel the pain in the song and how old fashioned it is, really brings the feel of 1960s. I’m honestly so obsessed with this soundtrack. Well done 👍
Yes ! The music reminds me of the 1960s , but actually, the Playtime Co Toy Factory became popular in the 1980s after Huggy Wuggy was created and was also one of the most memorable toys . So, in my opinion , it gives me a mix of the 60s and the 80s .
"Each, hungry for your return, each, eager that they might find you...perhaps they'd, smile at you from a shadow...their smiling mouths full of teeth and meat and plastic...watching and waiting patiently, for their turn at a warm welcome...or perhaps, they won't allow you such time to figure your place in a world you'd left...a world that's theirs now...WELCOME...HOME..."
This song gives me HUGE bioshock vibes. it as the same atmosphere and energy to it I feel like for some reason. The way it's mixed with the added filters for that old and echo-y type feeling, like it's playing in a big abandoned part of the factory. so nice 😍
sad fact, i used to listen to this when i was depressed cs it would help me sleep & stay calm instead of wanting to die & feel empty.. now i feel happy listening to it, thank you to whoever posted this. really has helped me❤
when the nostalgia makes your stomach feel empty and you feel sad but relaxed and happy with resignation and you feel so...free so wonderful, so happy, but relaxed. Just floating in the beautiful music, weightless. You feel like a child, but you feel old like you've seen it all. And are experiencing it again... it's an experience it's a memory.... its... beautiful
This song is so good to hear, this song it makes me feel nostalgic, it makes me quiet, it reminds me of when I was younger, it makes me happy, I've never seen a song that would cause me so many emotions, this song was very well done...
This game gives me a feeling I can't explain. Like, the picture of factory makes me feel like I'm in a movie where this factory is a huge company but is hiding something. And I can just picture myself staring at the entrance of this factory as I'm about to go in. while the music plays.
I get that feeling everytime I see the big drawing with the kids playing below and the scientists up in the rafters, looking down. Finding out what they were up to makes that drawing so ominous.
The way this game conveys a specific type of horror is truly fascinating. A place frozen in time, that 90s kid core-ish aesthetic, the residual energy you feel wandering around the factory, something horrific happened and no one is around, then you later find out there was a massacre and everyone was eaten. It also reminds me of Chuck E. Cheese only because that was a very kid oriented place that I haven’t been to in a long time. So much nostalgia and unnerving feelings.
i just realised that in cg5's song ''Sleep Well'' playing 1-st chapter's ost on background and you can hear it well in 0 minutes 45 seconds when catnap i guess? says "if we had never done that things we did, if we had realised all our sins"
Have you ever sat down and thought, how scary this was? The background, The music everything.. It just feels so.. Nastolgic. It really gives me a uneasy feeling. (i know it was made in the 60-80s.)
I gotta say this music with the factory in the background is Just...ah, pure 🔥. Another thing is when I was playing chapter 1, I never really thought about how big the factory actually is, because when I look at this screen now I see how tiny the doors are and then the rest of the factory. Absolutely massive and I hate it...but love it at the same time
i've listened to this song for nearly the end, theres something nostalgic about looking at the menu screen, the colorful factory, the colorful smokestacks and lighting and everything.
And knowing, that monsters beyong human comprehension, lie there, all in this one factory. Rotting away, waiting for their next victim since the massacre.
Or maybe both, like it wants to seem inviting yet going into it, u know it's scary. Which is kind of unsettling in itself but I think it's meant to be calm for that reason
Like in the movie jurassic park or sth like that, it's got such an inviting theme and gives u a sense of wonder, so the place seems inviting, yet the creatures inside are not.
I love this theme… probably one of my favorites if not my favorite. It’s calming and nostalgic but also eerie. Poppy playtime itself was an amazing game too. I’m glad people are still spending time on making good games and not just trying to release games quickly just to get them done.
I really think poppy playtime has so much potential. Everyone dunks on it though cause RUclips kids basically milks it to death, but that shouldn’t take away from how cool the idea honestly is!
Chapter 3 is amazing. An actually horrifying experience. My favourite part of it was the school. Defineteley one of the absolute best weeping angel sections made in any horror game. I also love how they stopped with the implied violence many indie games have, and actually went ahead and showed it, or didnt imply it. Like the radio in the PT-inspired section, or DogDay's fate. My main problem with chapters 1 and 2 was that the while the chases themselves were good, they lacked build up. Chapter 3 doesnt have this problem, as it actually has a scary atmosphere.
I love how calm the music is. I listen to this during the night just to get those chills, because I know how creepy this game is...lol I'm a sucker for all things horror. But the creators of this game knew how to catch people's attention, thank you so much for making this video
this is such an interesting song. it has the feeling of a beginning of a chapter but also an end. like it gives a feeling there could be so much more left for it but that's where it ends. i think they did that on purpose. to give a good start to show there is more but an end that inevitably will either be sad or hopeful. there is also a feeling of haunt or maybe even hate. like the factory in the background and just the earie-ness of it. but there is also a sense that somebody wrote this after the inevitable doom of the factory looking back on what happened and created a piece of music to describe what they felt. also, memory. this is one i think the song was aiming at the most. you as a character are looking at a place you weren't told or ask to go to, you wanted to. revisit what happened and relive the nostalgia. but you fall into to this mess you never asked for. the beginning of the song is the feeling when you revisit this place but at the end when it becomes more sorrow that's when you fall into something worse that you can't escape. that's what makes me feel like the end of this game is going to be the player ending everything that happened at the factory but dying at the end, becoming one with the factory. or the player escaping, and the factory collapsing and given a sense of hope and the only thing left of the factory is this music. thanks for coming to my ted talk.
Very well said. Not gonna lie, my eyes will leak if that is the ending. I can picture if the player becomes one with the factory, they keep the peace and harmony. Though, they could start the mess again for another unsuspecting visitor.
when it’s 10:00 and you realize you need to get your shit together because you have 10 missing assignments meant to do by the end of the weekend but instead you played video games instead of studying and doing homework:
I can picture this at the end of the entire game series, you’ve fought off the last killer toy, and possibly found employees and kids, as your laying on the floor hurt from the fight this music is playing and police sirens are fading in, you hear loads and loads of police running into the building and see them entering the factory, putting all of the mystery to rest and finally finding out what Playtime Co was doing all those years. Then it could show a news clip of authorities entering the factory and investigating it and wrapping up the disappearances and what not. I’d love to see more of the exterior of the building. I’d love to be on the front in the open spaces entrance road and car park with all the overgrown bits etc.
It's incredible how this song reminds me of Everywhere at the End of Time, but in a slightly more pleasant way, and unfortunately it reminds me of the scary moments I went through in my childhood, like waking up at dawn and my parents weren't home and hearing noises. , this brings me several feelings, as if something was happening and I wasn't participating and little by little I'm being forgotten if you've read this far you're a legend!
They have done such a good job with this song to deliver a soothing and yet uneasy feeling about it. While still giving an early 50s disney feel about this song Props to the musical team who created this piece
"Its just a burning memory" refers to the 1st song in the "Everywhere at the end of time" music album. It's 11 hours long (I think), and it usually refers to Dementia.
@@jeviltheotherdevil3027 *6 hours and 30 minutes long and it shows all 6 stages of dementia by listing to music and understanding how awful going trew that illness is
This song leaves me with a sense of yearning for something. I don't know what but its like a feeling to do a thing. Its so over whelming. I can't even figure out what it is. Could it be that I want to do something horrible? Great? Its something I can't shake. It fills my whole body. I want to yell and cry and laugh but im not sad. Its feels like a happy ending in the most beautiful show or game you have ever played. Is this what nostalgia feels like? The feelings is sad.. Happy... And for some reason there's a little bit of belonging to it. I want to feel as if I fit in. I honestly love this song so much. It reminds me of its just a burning memory but echoed . I might call this feeling bitter sweet. It hurts my chest like stress or crying but im not crying or stressed. Wow I never knew that I could type like thiss. Well yknow me, once you getme started I won't stop. Im sorry if there are manny spelling mistake because im typing really fast and im not looking at the top of the screen.
this song is so beautiful. as i listen to this, so many memories start flooding back to me all at once and i just can’t help but smile. however it’s also painful at the same time. it fees like a stab in the chest knowing the happiness was only temporary. i yearn for the times where i didn’t have to be so paranoid about everything. also the factory reminds me of ikea for some reason idk why. it’s just so big. can’t wait to see what chapter 3 has in store for us.

This OST combines all of the following : memories, comfort, chills, nostalgia, and creepiness, and I cannot describe how wonderful is this It also reminds you of the time when poppy playtime was a popular trend
For some reason, the music not only feels nostalgic, but shares an homage to the previous horror games of the 2000’s-2010’s that still share the same horror as today’s games.
This song is somehow ominous yet calming. It really gives you that nostalgic feeling, and makes you think that this is just an innocent large never ending toy factory, but also lets you know that you aren’t alone in here. You’re the only human down here and there are predators waiting in each dark corners but for now, take in all the bliss on being alone and peaceful. Hearing this after watching the Hour Of Joy is just astounding. This theme is unnerving and I love it.
I remember quitting my job, and becoming absolutely hopeless. I had no idea what I was going to do next. I was happy to be liberated from my job and having free time, but I felt like a waste of space with no money. I found a lot of comfort in PPT and this song was very intriguing. Led me down the rabbit hole.
Not gonna lie... this song is made to be nostalgic for a reason... for people to enjoy it... So to the people who ask "how" and "why' this song was made... it does not have a point. Whoever made it felt that it needed this 80's nostalgic vibe.
It gives off the same feeling as the song Heartaches with that old timeyish record player feeling, I'm going spend a couple a days working out why it feels nostalgic.
Maybe the fact that you've maybe had a dream similar to this or even just thinking about the old films like Cinderella for instance the ball room gives off a feeling
this is so nostalgic and sad knowing all the stuff behind this song and also as if this is were all the trouble begins, as if its a trap welcoming you in to a place of sadness trauma and happiness made from lies. Love it.
Like everyone else says, it feels nostalgic and calm, yet a little unnerving and creepy. I also just want to add how this constant loop just reminds me of those menu screens from some DVDs that plays a few scenes from the film as a preview and has music like this playing over it until you choose to play the film. Idk if I explained it well but it's just what I think of when I listen to this.
The game and controversy aside, this is such a beautiful piece. A million thank you’s to the person who threw this into a (flawless) loop. I could go on and on about how it’s backroom-y, nostalgia-inducing, but it’s honestly so meditative, and almost sad, and really hopeful and happy at certain times. It’s almost faint enough to think it’s just playing off in the distance, in this peaceful place, just out of your reach. The composer knew what they were doing with this, I’m about to get some good sleep with this banger.😌🤍🤍
this music is basically a straight copy or just a slightly altered music from the song its just a burning memory, in that song its part of an album of 6 parts which show the 6 stanges of dementia(loosing memory) this was the first stage where the music seems just about right but a tad bit fuzzy. If you love this I recommend you listen to, It's just a burning memory instead, it really melts your heart and actually makes you quite scared for loosing your memory
@@straivalist8281 It's not at all similar to It's just a burning memory, it's a classical piece with slow, almost creepy and sad instruments. It just sounds similar because it gives the same vibe.
Calming but I believe this is a burning memory, and the album is sad when you have the context, it made me cry once I found the meaning, dementia is scary
It’s just weird seeing an old factory that probably worked and steamed for decades, and here it is, having its break after years of hard work, it feels so nostalgic just staring at the factories whereabouts, and just knowing that there’s so much floors below to be revealed.
Esta canción me transmite soledad, tristeza, nostalgia pero a la vez me transmite esperanza. Esos son mis sentimientos al escuchar esta canción, me gusta mucho
This song is such a beautiful master piece. I've almost and have cried to this so many times, for some reason this song does not bring back nostalgia like many other, but instead a sort or unnerved serenity of that makes sense, its so tranquil yet so...unsettling in a way. I cannot express my deep love for this beautiful piece of work
Despite being in general not a huge fan of this game for many reasons, I be honest if I say the menu track for me, is frankly one of few elements of Poppy I like

And it has that filter as if it was being played through some old school speakers in a big empty shop
Has a great mix of sadness and the fact that something went wrong in this factory overall.

"After you feel the guilty on your shoulders......"
"May you descend into the dark and the dust...
Finding all that awaits you are incomprehensible horrors'
"Each, hungry for your return, each, eager that they might find you...perhaps they'd, smile at you from a shadow...their smiling mouths full of teeth and meat and plastic...watching and waiting patiently, for their turn at a warm welcome...or perhaps, they won't allow you such time to figure your place in a world you'd left...a world that's theirs now...WELCOME...HOME..."

It's like seeing a world destroyed by pollution, or at least that's what it seems to me. And nostalgic music is like remembering the past.
And knowing, that monsters beyong human comprehension, lie there, all in this one factory. Rotting away, waiting for their next victim since the massacre.

I believe this song is supposed to unnerve the listener, but it made it calm instead.

Nostalgic, So calm and beautiful.
Thank you
this is such an interesting song. it has the feeling of a beginning of a chapter but also an end. like it gives a feeling there could be so much more left for it but that's where it ends. i think they did that on purpose. to give a good start to show there is more but an end that inevitably will either be sad or hopeful. there is also a feeling of haunt or maybe even hate. like the factory in the background and just the earie-ness of it. but there is also a sense that somebody wrote this after the inevitable doom of the factory looking back on what happened and created a piece of music to describe what they felt. also, memory. this is one i think the song was aiming at the most. you as a character are looking at a place you weren't told or ask to go to, you wanted to. revisit what happened and relive the nostalgia. but you fall into to this mess you never asked for. the beginning of the song is the feeling when you revisit this place but at the end when it becomes more sorrow that's when you fall into something worse that you can't escape. that's what makes me feel like the end of this game is going to be the player ending everything that happened at the factory but dying at the end, becoming one with the factory. or the player escaping, and the factory collapsing and given a sense of hope and the only thing left of the factory is this music. thanks for coming to my ted talk.
Very well said. Not gonna lie, my eyes will leak if that is the ending.
I can picture if the player becomes one with the factory, they keep the peace and harmony. Though, they could start the mess again for another unsuspecting visitor.

That's would be pretty cool
As you lay on the ground, the camera fades up, up, and away as Baby Blue by Badfinger plays

This OST combines all of the following : memories, comfort, chills, nostalgia, and creepiness, and I cannot describe how wonderful is this
It also reminds you of the time when poppy playtime was a popular trend
For some reason, the music not only feels nostalgic, but shares an homage to the previous horror games of the 2000’s-2010’s that still share the same horror as today’s games.

This song is somehow ominous yet calming. It really gives you that nostalgic feeling, and makes you think that this is just an innocent large never ending toy factory, but also lets you know that you aren’t alone in here. The song gives me a feeling of melancholy and nostalgia. 😢❤
Like everyone else says, it feels nostalgic and calm, yet a little unnerving and creepy. I also just want to add how this constant loop just reminds me of those menu screens from some DVDs that plays a few scenes from the film as a preview and has music like this playing over it until you choose to play the film.
