Adelaide band The Coneheads was formed in the 80s. The initial lineup was Ted Keeley on vocals, Andrew Bunney and Richard Warldall on guitars, Nick Burton on bass and Peter Graves on drums. Their sound was a mixture of bubblegum music and Ramones punk/garage rock. They recorded on the Greasy Pop label.
They released their first single which contained three tracks, ''Barn Burnin /Action / Evil Little Elmer'' in 1986 followed by ''Chewy Chewy / Skippin Skippin Skippin'' in 1987. A few lineup changes occurred after their second single. Their only album 'Bum' was released by Greasy Pop in 1990 (not including any of the tracks on this single).
A self-titled compilation came out in 2007 which only included Skippin' Skippin' Skippin' from this release.
Members - James Braund (drums), Andrew Bunney (guitar), Nick Burton (bass), Rick De Scale (guitar), Peter Graves (drums), Rachel Hannaford (drums), Ted Keeley (vocals), Richard Wharldall (guitar).
