I saw them live in London in 1972 as a 15 year old wasn’t sure what I was watching but the Musical Box live and Peter’s Old Man 👴🏻 part has stuck with me to this day 👌🎤🎹🎶

All great picks! I was listening to the knife earlier today and thought I should have put it as number one, but then I listened to The Musical Box again lol

Interesting choices. You lean heavily on their 3rd and 4th albums. For me, Supper's Ready, Seven Stones, The Lamia, Firth of Fifth, Hogweed, Fly on a Windshield, Cinema Show and Can-Utility would be in my top 10, but I find it too hard to rank them. And I would have included Dancing with the Moonlit Knight but the long, aimless ending takes away from the first half, with everything you said and Steve's beautiful and explosive guitar solo.

I feel you on that ending of Dancing with The Moonlight Night, as I was editing I thought “man maybe The Musical Box should be 1” The first half of Moonlight Knight is just soooo good! And yeah, my dad showed me the most of Nursery Cryme/Foxtrot when I was a teenager so those have nostalgia to them! I think now my favorite Genesis album is actually Trick of the Tail- but it’s so hard to choose because they have so many great songs lol

No Cinema Show,Firth of Fifth or Fountain of Salmacis ? To be fair you are spoilt for choice with the Gabriel era

Fifth of Firth almost made it! As for the Cinema Show, I like it but the Lamb Lies Down on Broadway is honestly my least favorite album (aside from the first one) they did with him! Don’t get me wrong, it’s great but I just love the other ones more! These lists are just an excuse to talk about amazing songs anyway, the ranking is just more so there is a format!
