There are only a small handful youtubers in would enjoy to drink at a night out. And having a cold one with the last samurai would be the most interesting of them all. Thanks for your passion!
The Heian superstitions are so interesting to learn about. From a modern point of view the past is so important great post as usual. Next time in Kyoto i will visit here. The books were a bit boring but I want to see this place.
Its amazing how colorful people used to be, it seems all cultures share that aspect, and the clothing itself has also changed from a beautiful to a practical style, its such a shame we do not wear such clothes anymore. I would have been in trouble in Heian period! I love women with long hair! 😂😂
I once saw a lecture by a visiting scholar from Japan; his research was about Heian women's clothes and he was working on reproducing the different outfits. He said that all the robes together that a woman wore weighed nearly 23kg!
Great video! I hope to visit someday. ❤️🙏
Thank you for watching. I felt great passion for the tale of Genji.

Right. Even before the WW2, kimono was much more colorful actually.

That is called Junihitoe which means 12 layers kimono. The graduation of the layers are beautiful. As you can see it in this video.
