  • In this video we build a biker wallet step by step using our new pattern templates. This wallet is a little more involved but is no more difficult than the other wallets and billfolds we have built on this channel. It features a zippered pouch, six card slots and several other pockets.

    The 4 people who disliked this video are not bikers. I just made my first wallet with this template set and it turned out great. I went out on a limb and made the card pockets out of a single piece of tyvek. Works great!

      The question I had about those card pockets was I noticed that he didn't sew the card pockets. I'm wondering about how well the tape will hold up over time. Shouldn't they be sewn? I would sleep better knowing that my customers aren't going to have any issues with the tape giving away on those pockets. Other than that, awesome wallet design and templates.

      @@dennyhazel I asked aaron and he said the tape only will last. It is a permenant hold. No sewing needed.

    A recommended addition would be to add a leather security loop along the back as bikers prefer retention rings on a chain. This prevents loss of wallets while riding. It defeats the whole point of a biker wallet if you're not attaching one. My life experience anyway. I've also never carried a biker wallet the length of a women's clutch. Need to cut off about four inches on the length. As far as I'm aware, no bikers have pockets 13 inches deep. I've already made those modifications and it turned out great. Didn't need as much zipper length either. 5 inch zippers are so much easier to sew. Keep on crafting everyone.

    Hey Aaron, just wanted to say thanks for the different video you've made. I just started leather working last October. I just received my template set for this wallet, won't be my last purchase from Makers any time soon. Keep up the great work your doing in sharing knowledge. One question, would it be better to burnish the zipper "opening"(lol) before installing the zipper?

    Good morning sir I have a question about the Biker wallet. I stayed up late last night finishing up mine and showed my wife and when she tried the zipper it was broken. I am not sure what happened to it between installation when it was working perfectly and finishing it up. Anyway my question is have you ever replaced a zipper in one and if so how did you do it?

    • @makersleathersupply1220
      @makersleathersupply1220  3 года назад

      I have not replaced one, seems the most thorough way to do it would be to open that pocket back up and install the new one the same as the first.
