What a mess of a video, talking about cars and models and showing completely different generations. In most cases just random cars thrown in random order while talking about something different and very few you show are even Jerry’s exact car. It like a social media post full of inaccuracies to pull in people to interact. Brutal
I love both. I met Kevin Buckner. He used to race for Porsche. He still has someone to race for Porsche for him and I met him at infinity on raceway and I bought a T-shirt from Kevin Buckner and he signed it and I haven’t wore since I went to that race
I was in the building when the 917 crossed the auction block. Although there doesn't appear to be actual hard evidence, some folks are speculatiing that Dana Mecum now owns the car and is actually the seller. This speculation is based in part on Jerry's comments made during the filming of the video associated with the car. And the fact that Jerry wasn't there trying to hype the car, which almost all celebrities do when selling high end cars/motorcycles at auctions, further fuels the speculation.
550 spider I think that’s the one James Dean died in in 1955 at the age of 21. I think we miss him and he was a good actor too bad. He passed away in a Porsche and so did Paul Walker in the Porsche, that’s too bad. Hopefully you get back with people with comments.
I owned a well-used '78 911 Targa 20 years ago. I paid $6K for it. It still holds the record for my fastest trip to the mall- nine minutes for a twenty-minute drive.
I almost met Jerry Seinfeld in Sears point raceway and he just got in a limo to head to the airport to go home so next time when I see him hopefully I can meet him and talk to him about Porsche
No, I don’t but I like to get one maybe by the time I’m 60 so I could save because that would be nice on my 60th birthday. I like to get a boxer to start off small and then work up to see. I love to go fast and I don’t wanna be like James Dean or Paul Walker, which those two were bad ass actors take care, brother. Have a good week and I love your videos only with Porsche or BMW.
That’s what I would do wait for it until it gets a lot more higher. They’re going up in value every week every month and every year so it’ll be worth more next year a lot more. I would believe if I had that I want to sell it until it’s worth a lot more cause they’re the ones that win a lot a champion races in that Porsche
And plus that was Steve, McQueen‘s Porsche and Steve WIN that Porsche with steam McQueen so that’s why it’ll be worth more that’s why Jerry Seinfeld didn’t want the money for $25 million. It’ll be worth more later. Trust me, I know.
Jerry has a garage built for some of his cars on my block where I live in Manhatten for many years & I have spoken to many people that I know who met him & talked to him, in restaurants & stores in my neighborhood who have told me he is friendly & very nice to talk to. Never a ass to talk to,
Very interesting but flipping back and forth between cars that are not only not his cars, but not even the same model, is very misleading and unprofessional. Disappointing in the presentation.
@ - the comments about the inconsistencies are not wrong. If you are going to put a YT video about Porsche, do the research necessary to put it together with the right info and pronunciations. Otherwise you come off looking like an amateur. Also, don't be snide to the people who are criticising what you've messed up on, learn from them and get better. "Porsche" is pronounced "POR-sha" and that is because it is someone's name and the Porsche Factory, Management, Engineers, Designers, Admininstration, Craftsmen, Salesmen, (And women) ALL say "PORsch-a" not "PORSH" And yes, show the car you are talking about and not drift between 4-5 various colors of a similar model. Peace.
as an avid porsche collector (1952 - 1971 model) & an historian / videographer / producer for ESPN & PBS...this piece was patched together w public available pics...& pretty shaky content. Not thesis matetial. Consider this as CLICK BAIT! Hell, I "clicked."
Definitely not trying to make click bait videos. But I definitely know who I’m going to the next time I make a Porsche video. Let me know how I can reach out.
Very informative but with lots of mistakes, especislly when photos and videos on several models are concerned, in one case you write 911 instead 911. Why not leave the presentation editing to a Porsche connaisseur.
Her said copying you at one point you said a 911 911, maybe you meant 991 911? It’s hard to say the pictures and commentary don’t really go together very well
Porsche was not about to sacrifice a 959 for US crash testing to be able to sell it the states. The 959 was later able to be driven underthe show and display law.
Why would he ever sell any of them when they together only represent 10% of his net worth and they are his passion? Why would he sell the most special and keep some ordinary ones considering he has more money than he could spend in ten lifetimes?
Who are these imposters driving the featured Porsche's? They don't even look like Jerry. If the subject line states Jerry Seinfield don't put in filler material. Thumbs down.
Well, it would be very difficult to find a half hour of footage of Jerry Seinfeld driving his Porsches. The videos are actually just as much about the cars as they are the person. We actually favor the car is a little bit more so any quality material we can get our hands on, we put in there. If you can find us a half hour of footage of Jerry Seinfeld driving his Porsche when he’s a celebrity who likes to keep his private life, exactly that, private, you let me know, and I’ll let you edit the next video.
I love Jerry Seinfeld shows and they’re all repeats but that’s OK. I still watch them now and then and I’m glad he is a Porsche enthusiast instead of a piece of shit Ferrari or Corvette or Lamborghini or McLaren. Those cars I mentioned are like junk and their shit Porsche is betterand it’s gonna win the championship this year. Tell Jerry Seinfeld I’m glad he picked Porsche and he is a collector with him. He’s got some nice cars peace out, brother.
I would sell them all . . . that have the engines slung out behind the rear axle! My past cars: '53 Bug, '66 GT350, '70 914-6, '78 Corvette w/LS1 engine, X1/9, '95 RX7, '10 Raptor, '17 M2, and currently a 981 Cayman S (soon to be GT4 Lite). Which one of those cars did I roll at 25 mph? The Bug, of course. This is why I can't go to a Porsche coffee meet - I hate 911s, Bugs etc. (I've owned 3 Bugs and a VW camper van as well). My fav cars? Mid engine . . . Unfortunately the 918 is out of my reach, but if I could . . .
I've heard that too about the engines causing the ass end to come around because of the weight and people getting killed because of it. There was some turbo model they made that got one of those 'widow-maker' monikers attached to it. It sounds like you've had some pretty nice cars. I owned an X1/9 back in the 80's and 90's and it was probably my favorite car, not that I've owned many, but it handled very nicely for reasonably-priced sports car.
I've never heard any cases of him being an ass to his fans. I did see an interview where a woman who is some supposed star, interrupted his interview and wanted to kiss him and he said 'No, no, no', similar to the shaking head episode when his girl friends father has made them a pizza without washing his hands after going to the washroom and Jerry refuses to eat it. He probably just doesn't like people bugging the shit out of him and I get that. Just because a persons fans contribute to making them wealthy, doesn't mean that they should have the right to pester them in public.
He doesn’t owe his fans anything interpersonal. Do you enjoy his work? That should be enough for you. He is, by all accounts, very generous with all his assets, including host time, to his friends.
Take a 3,2 from 1988 going on a straight do 80 and before the curve push it in to 3'd no gas brake on the gear. Sorry guys that sound is something else than anything in the world.
