The live sound is different but it has kinda grown on me. It really sounds like you're at a concert and it's pretty cool not hearing the perfectly clean studio version. It's a good change of pace.
The pk7 is $97 (USD) On Amazon. At that price it's a must its sounds good for that price others may sound better in other options. But it's also the cheapest to.
They dont sound better, its just differently tuned, if you use a jbl for a while, then switch to a less bass focused speaker, you will find the vocals muffled on the jbl... I used a ue-boom its kind of like a jbl flip 4 sound quality wise a smidge superior i think, now using a lg pk 3 and the vocals are better and the bass is satisfying..
The jbl's are more bass muffled, it depends on the individual preference, how you like the tuning of each speaker... The lg are cheaper, have a balanced sound and they don't distort on max volume, saying this because i tried it... and this makes it a great bargain.
I love my SRS-XB41... The bass is really impressive. I completely agree that the Live mode really lacks in any quality at all and sounds more like the sound is coming from a kid’s toy speaker imo. The RGB lights are great and really bright but can lead to a very, very short audio delay intermittently. I do plan on getting another when on sale again. I got mine when it first came out for $250 but I’ve seen it since then on sale for as low as $150... Great review, new subscriber. 😎👍🏼 Edit: I was also listening to this on the xb41 as well.

I've had the LG pk7 for 3years and I'm so pleased with it. The meridian DSP really makes the sound so detailed. It sits nicely in my office and only cost £90. I never intend to take it portable or have the lights on. With the latest firmware it is a lot louder.
I've used all and bought the LG PK7 it's easily the best... Especially since the software update. This guy clearly didn't want to give the PK7 any credit.... Obviously a spomsored chamnel and his loyalties are with Sony and JBL.... Not an impartial review at all.

Great video but why are you comparing JBLs extreme 2 @ $350 while the Xb41 is about $200 or so. I don’t feel that’s a fair comparison. You could get the sony Xb60 for that price.

But what i hate about the xb41 is that they cut off bass so soon... And it isn‘t as loud as the Xtreme 2 after the firmware update too. So the xtreme is better for partys.

This is the only review I’ve heard of the PK7 where the reviewer claimed it wasn’t good outside. And really the pk7 is a combo of the song with the lights and stuff and the sound of jbl with the radiators on the side. And it’s $100.

I highly recommend the pk7, it is the most durable and has not gotten scratches on the 2 years I've used it also I've charged it like 5 times while using it daily. The pk7 also let's you choose between sound quality or loudness.

Forget sony they are crap. If you want good sound quality i advice you to go for the jbl exreme 2 or the Bose soundlink mini 2. To me the jbl and the Bose are the best bluetooth speakers in the market now. So forget the sony exbs 31 and sony exbs41 because they sound shit.
Did you do test after or before the LG pk7's new Firmware update cause it seem you did the test prior to the LG pk7's firmware update. The pk7 blow the sony out the box with the new firmware and it 98% up there with the JBL extreme2. You should do and update video with the new firmware.
It is called party lighting. For example for me is a very nice feature (I have the SONY SRS XB30). For other people's is a waste of battery. This is your opinion

I have 2 Sony xb41. They sound great together in Stereo. Also singly sound fantastic in different locations/rooms. The Sony is the smallest, lightest of the bunch with better disco lighting effects and features. Unfortunately the Pk7 looks bulky and an odd design, certainly not portable enough, but I do like the rich, bassey sound it gives out. Unfortunately it's just not as loud as the Sony.

Final_Counter that doesn't necessarily mean it will sound better. The tuning is pretty shit on the Sony to be honest, i can't understand people choosing this over JBL if price doesnt matter.
I can tell just by a couple youtube videos (including this one) that the sub bass extension is better on the jbl x2. LG pk7 seems to have more pronounced highs and separation between frequencies, and Sonys seem pretty meh.
If you're here researching portable speakers, let me just preface by telling you THE SOUND TEST ON THE VIDEOS SOUND NOTHING LIKE THE SOUND THEY HAVE IN PERSON. No mic is picking up sound 1:1 and it's being compressed by RUclips. I own the XB41 and the Xtreme 2 and here's my personal opinions on them. The XB41 has the best bass between the two. If you're looking for more bass this is the speaker you want. It does not sound muddy like it does in the videos. The Xtreme 2 has the best highs, but it is very fatiguing to listen to due to this. Bass could be better but can be improved a little with EQ.

ezar howard this is called intermodulation distortion. This is caused by the speaker being pushed bass and treble at the same time. All because it doesnt have tweeters

You should do a remake, becouse LG has its 40 W only when its in wall plug, otherwise it has only 32watts to save the battery....

Nah, this is a flop, the lg has "40horses" on those drivers, when you plug it, but 32 when on battery, and for the price, fuck the "best brand", the lg offers a bargain but without the muffled sound of the jbl and the screeches of Sony...
If your xb41 is distorting at high volumes then you might have a messed up unit. Both my xb41 sound good at high volume with no distortion.
ezar howard this is called intermodulation distortion. This is caused by the speaker being pushed bass and treble at the same time.
All because it doesnt have tweeters
