Having arrived from Harrogate that morning with his hair bleached by Clara Mills at the Whiitechapel H.Q. of BalaChadha, home of his literary agent and friend "Professor" Paul (Ro) Roundhill, Peter Doherty performs his tribute to the massive 80s reggae hit by Boy George's band Culture Club.
This is by far the most popular video on this channel with 32,400 views but it is difficult to say whether it is because of Peter's treatment of the song, the popularity of Boy George's original or because of it being the only video with Peter as a blonde.

Anyone who actually has a taste in music will understand that this "drugged up, skinny wreck" is in fact, one of the greatest British musicians, ever. Despite the bad public image, Pete Doherty is an amazing poet cross rocker. He is a real English music icon.

I knew every word of this song, yet until I heard this (originally around 6years ago, and I keep coming back) I never truly appreciated it for the touching, emotional love song it is.

For those who were looking for tabs, I *think* he is playing tuned down a whole step, and has also transposed it down half a step (confusing!)
So to play it in standard tuning, the chords would be A E and D for the verses, then A E Fm Bm in the chorus. This sounds about right!

can't be sure that drugs are responsible for their amazing music, one needs to already have an ability in order to be an artist. F.e. even if I took drugs I doubt I would come out with anything worth listening to, that's all.
