    I've known Dan all my life and remember when he just started making the Bows. His business has come a long way. Dan and my father have been friends for a very long time. He custom made my Bow, and put my name on it as well. I've never found a bow well as Dan's. Dan is passionate about what he does so you know you get good quality bows.

    My first custom bow was a Whip and the Tolke's was just awesome. Mr Tolke is a gentleman and he makes a great bow.

    Great reviews guys! Thank you for putting this together, I've watched it a few times. How you two snap shoot like that blows my mind. When ever I try that it gets dangerous. Great stuff, cheers!

    My Toelke Chinook Take-Down is fast, quiet and very accurate. The fit and finish is truly flawless.

    Man I'm glad finally someone is doing good quality reviews on some of these bows... in the market and waiting for something to come up in the classifieds.. .. this is really helping with the itch! Thumbs up buddy!

      Woodsmans Finest, Hey man! I'm telling ya, calling up Dan and Jared and asking them specifically, model/weight/wood makes it so much more fun, and your own name on a bow makes it that much more sentimental. You won't be a burden to the Toelke's by doing so. You also never know how the bow was maintained if you but via classified. :) Take care.

    Good video and well made. One comment on your shooting style. If you could work on increasing your draw while maintaining your snap release style would yield killer results. That extra inch or two of draw is like leaving money on the table.

    Sadly I could not afford one of these right now, probably.
    However, they look like works of art, and maybe someday I will have a bow that nice, made by someone with that kind of skill. :)

    Hey guys! Liberty Rogue Outdoors here! Great review...hat's off to ya! I have shot one of Dan's whips before...and loved it! I have many Longbows and I'm an avid hunter for deer & bear here in the great state of Maine. My next bow will most likely be a Toelke for sure:) Great channel name too...lol! Take care...Rogue'stah out!

    So...what is flexation at 6:17

    • @rogueoutdoorshtkstw
      @rogueoutdoorshtkstw  5 лет назад

      Flexation is referring to how smooth the draw is. Some traditional bows feel like a heavier weight even though they are not, and our way of describing that is flexation. The Toelke bows feel extremely smooth.

      It's not a shooting technique video, sir. Having incorrect "form" doesn't matter to me, so long as I can hit what I'm aiming at. -James.

      It depends, if you do a totally custom bow then it can be a month and a half or so. If you get one of his bows that are almost all the way done then it will only take a few weeks.

      Word. Lot of energy left in that bow being unused. What about the Chinook recurve? I'm more of a recurve guy...never have shot a longbow. My uncle always said longbows shoot to the left for him for some reason. But one time he was at a bow shoot and shot a guy's Byron Ferguson longbow and said it was the most accurate bow he's ever shot. Stacked 3 arrows all right next to one another at 40 yards. He has a ton of bow league trophies with his old Herters recurves but yeah never indulged in the longbows, but he'll never forget that one!

    Excellent review guys..as I'm now in confusion to choose between Pika and Chinook..please tell me your experience so far, which bow you like most..many thanks before..

    • @rogueoutdoorshtkstw
      @rogueoutdoorshtkstw  6 лет назад +1

      In all honesty I like the Pika the best. It is a lighter bow and has a smoother draw. If I could only have one it would be the Pika!

    • @brandondferrier
      @brandondferrier 6 лет назад

      @@rogueoutdoorshtkstw I'd just like to say, as a former snap shooter myself, i have found that snap shooting is NOT the best for me. It took me a little while to break the habit, but when i did i became more accurate. You should give your shot just a second or two to settle in. But to each their own.
      Just my 2 cents. Thanks for the video! Great Demos. I own a SUPER-D, Whip HS, Chinook and a Pika on the way.

    might try a slick stick first.....about 40% of the price and a 30 year warranty......best shooting bow I have ever pulled a string on

    • @douglasmoriearty1358
      @douglasmoriearty1358 5 лет назад

      Ever pull the string on a Toelke? I've shot the Slick Stick and the Quick Stick - I own a Toelke. A 54" Pika to be exact, the Bodniks are not bad bows, but not in the same league.

    • @greysigma

      Slick stick is serial bow , from factory in Poland . Can’t compare those two bows. I mean , you can but that’s stupidity. And I presume that you are not stupid person

    How you guys can talk about limbs & performance is beyond me? Your not even into the working part of the limb with your short draw & the arrow is gone. Stop posting shooting this BS style all you do is give people Target Panic

    Today all of the bows are made with the same materials and glues.Just different manufacturers.Even the chinese nowadays making better bows than the american old school what going on the market as vintage stuf in range 200-1200$ and up.
