Wow. Everyone is so critical. Shame on you. I love that these guys are still performing at this level. I saw them on this tour and it was indescribable. I'd last seen them in '97 on the PopMart tour, and was subsequently blown away by how much they still really have IT. The often overlooked unless you've seen them duet vocals of Bono and The Edge are always mind-blowing. Imperfections? Who cares? When it's live, it's real. Say what you will about Bono's bravado; there's nothing wrong with U2.

What effects is Edge using to get that wah'd out tone ? Its more than just a Wah, theres other effects helping create that tone and i cant figure out what they are.

@jacobekelundarbast another thing that happens with concert DVDs, is that when the band has more than one presentation in the same place, the sync can be lost because of the difference of days between the day of the audio and the day of the video, they are a totally diferent day.
If they had playbacked, obviously the editors would have put more attention to the lack of video-audio sync... There's never been a doubt about their performances... instead, their live shows are considered the strongest side of the band.
Three things I thought about while watching this: The rhythm section of this band is great, When The Edge started to walk out on the ramp I thought, "Don't fall!" and I think Bono is wearing those shoes that make you look taller.

@jacobekelundarbast microphone doesn't have to be right at his mouth for the sound to be registered, the microphone is most likely Shure and they're very sensitive mikes, when i practice with my band the singers mike is about a meter from her and stills picks her up. hope this helps m8
I realize I'm replying to a decade-old comment, but they used footage from both Rose Bowl shows for this dvd. I'd imagine the audio is from one of the shows and the footage in that particular part is from another.
Its so sad. By now i almost completely gave up listening to U2. Quick look at the setlist and only a few songs interest me. How about you? How can they have such self.confidence to push the last couple of albums over the 80s or early 90s. Choose life Bono!!

Yeah, I'm not sure if he changes over from the Korg A3 (the effect he uses for the main riff) or not, but he does give it some delay. Love that part.
