this is beautiful. i really appreciate the shift from "software for oldschool radio guys that run windows xp" to "software for tech people who took interest in radio" :) keep it up
Works great with my RSP1A, Mike. Quickly set up multiple VRXs to monitor Atlanta airport traffic. Sound quality does seem improved. Many thanks to all of you at SDRPlay.
A lot of work must have gone into this. Early days, but it's got a look of quality about it. Well thought out, multi-platform and modern theme. This can only boost your sales and I wish you every success.
Firstly a massive thank you to the guys at SDRplay. Your new software certainly doesn't look as intimidating as UNO does to a total beginner like me but after spending months learning UNO I'll stick with it a bit longer until I'm a bit more confident before moving on but fair play to you guys for doing such a massive update AND for free.
I like the uncomplicated interface. What is missing is the ability to type in a frequency on the keyboard and go directly to it plus the ability to save favourite frequencies to enable fast switching between channels. I also miss being able to use the cursor keys to tune the frequency/adjust rx bandwidth. I hope that these features will soon be added.
Great information. The last part of video, went so fast, I couldn't follow much at all what you were doing. Will watch other video's, and thanks for doing these video's.
Hi Mike. Thanks for the awesome video. Question: I have the RSPduo using it with the SDRuno software presently. Can I load the SDR connect software onto my PC while still having the SDRuno on my PC? Thanks.
The sound quality seems better than UNO, but I am hoping that there are a lot of things that will be added in updates. Such as noise reduction, notch filters, direct frequency entry and the ability to alter each sideband independently.
Looks good! It looks like it still has many of the powerful features of SDRUNO, but perhaps the new interface will help the newer folks who complain that UNO looked "complicated." I assume that it can still be customized and layouts/settings saved?
Thanks for the preview of the new interface. I posted a comment last night but it's disappeared. Perhaps it's because there was a URL link in the reply. I asked if it would be possible to add a time delay feature similar to RadioDelay (written by Daan Systems) so that I could sync the sports commentary from a radio station to the typically delayed video feed from a TV/Cable network. I'm enjoying the new layout. Very intuitive, and looking forward to further releases when new features are added. Is there an intent to support the plugins currently available in SDRuno? I'm particularly interested in the DAB+ plugin.
Glad you enjoyed it. SDRuno plugins will not work with SDRconnect, but we will be porting the SDRplay developed SDRuno plugins so that they will be made available for use with SDRconnect as modules. The module interface will be published so that third party developers can also port their SDRuno plugins to SDRconnect modules, but we have no control over whether they will choose to do so. Regarding the SilLabs driver, I noticed last night when I shut down my rig PSU the computer beeped twice rather than once. After a little digging around I found the software has installed another instance of the driver on a different comm port. My TS-590S uses comm3 for HRD. Now if I had the 590SG and using the rsp as a waterfall ok, but two instances of the same driver may cause issues.

Thank you so much for this, I had no idea this was coming but I'm really excited! I've been wanting to purchase an SDRplay for years now but have held out till there was appropriate Mac support (I have an M1 mini). Now I'm ready to order an RSPdx! One question: I assume SDRconnect was created to address those of us who were clamouring for cross-platform compatibility in SDRuno? Cheers!
Really like the new software and the network features alone are worth upgrading for as I can now listen to my RSPdx anywhere. Just one question though - is there no direct frequency entry or am I missing something? I would find it easier to type in a frequency I want to monitor than rolling the scroll wheel over each digit? Surely this must be coming? If I'm using a laptop with a trackpad it's so awkward to roll the digits around. Apart from that it looks great. Assuming you guys will be adding memories and scanning soon?
Mike, There are three settings I don't see. Probably will come out later, I Hope! 1. Where is Antenna-C for the RSPdx? 2. Where is bandwidth span to 10MHz like SDRuno has ? 3. I don't see my second RSPdx Serial # option? If I'm rushing things here, sorry. Just wanted to make it wasn't me, or maybe not. This new SDR looks very promising.
