Love the comic book talk. I was eating up comics in the late 70's early 80's. Conan was my long term love, but I was really into Avengers, Defenders, What If, X-men, Daredevil.
Never even heard of a comic book machine until now. Interesting.
Love the talk about the old days at the Clubhouse. I remember Troy talking about the cake toppers. I remember Ray's first pumpkin post.
I have always loved Troy's style. I've always been a sucker for chibi, caricature, SD, cute/monster kind of thing.
Great interview, and episode. Loved the gallery this week. So much variety and unusual pieces.

Great job, so glad you finally got Troy on! I wish I could have justified getting into the Hulk artist line, as an interesting art piece... but I know if I got one I'd eventually want them all... and probably couldn't justify the cost or the number of Hulks... I wish his comic book base line was still available

I’ll admit I *_REALLY_* enjoyed this episode - it certainly goes down (no SJ/JM connection here!) as one of my favourites.
All of the sculpts you kindly shared are wonderful, but - biased by my interests - I wanted to especially re-mention:
4:14 - We all KNOW it, but DAMN that Uel Winner fella is *_AMAZINGLY_* talented (sculpting AND rendering!) PLUS he creates these things at a speed I would not have thought humanly possible for this sort of quality 😮 SO good!
6:09 - OMG those Naty Ramos pieces too - I’m now REALLY tempted! (especially the Wile E. Coyote piece!) (* my kids say I’m a cross between Taz and Wile E. *)
12:49 - The “marauder” beastie from “Pitch Black” - NICE! The one Jason may be remembering was done by Galileo Hernandez (great sculptor who also had a talented caster) back in 2009. Galileo did let himself down with his approach to doing business though.
18:11 - That huge “Goonies” diorama - I shake my head every time I hear about yet ANOTHER classic movie Scott has never seen 🙃
Regarding all of the preceding, it just occurred to me (yeah I’m slow!) that the EXPLOSION of kits becoming available (especially those of more niche characters) is TOTALLY down to the “newcomers” in the hobby --> digital sculpting and 3D printing! It really HAS expanded the modelling hobby/community - creators AND customers. In my opinion, this is a very positive change, and although there are the concerns about digital file copying/selling, I think overall, it is certainly for the better.
25:25 - Geez Jase - THAT is a workbench! Nice!
30:00 - And then we get to Troy. I barely know Troy because even though he used to be an avid poster on The Clubhouse, we never interacted that much due to the sheer size & activity on the forum (in years gone by), and our interests did not overlap much. 1:00:00 - That Joker with Batman glove is still Troy’s avatar on The Clubhouse to this day. Troy hasn’t visited us in about 5 years - but his heritage/history is still there en-force. Troy is such a lively, cheerful, happy, bubbly, and enthusiastic guy - right out the gate - and so humble! He has a naturally beaming face and a personality to go with it. People like that are fun to be around. It has always been acknowledged that he is an exceptional sculptor ( 1:22:45 - I only WISH I was gifted enough to have that problem ☺), but bringing guests into the MCTV world really does give everyone a much better insight to peoples *personalities* . Thank-you Troy for agreeing to share - you made me smile - *_a LOT_* .
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention how well this entire episode flowed (and was edited) - and (as always) must have taken a *_huge_* amount of preparation and organising (great job Jason). Thanks also (as always) to Scott for his knowledge, good humour, and for being . . . . well . . . for being Scott 🙂
Well-done to everyone. You guys are amazing, and are *_VERY_* good at what you do.
PS: My guess as regards the voicemail - I’m reasonably confident that would be a certain JF (sounds like a bit of a knob-end anyways 😇).
    .

Immediately after listening back to this interview I went to her and said, “guess what I did?” 😂 Definitely paying more attention to that moving forward 😁

Man, Screw Kalmbach with their dumbass DRM in the Digital Issue. They force you to use some stupid app- no other reader will work- AND of course, my tablet can't display it. You know who doesn't stick DRM all over the magazine? Amazing Figure.
