Govt web portal didn’t mention any residency’s requirement for PR before they are accepted for Aged care service. It didn’t mention only to those who wants to apply for Age pension. They need to have been resident in Australia for 20 years.

Wilson, 請問若我有1個Unit 大概值60萬澳元，我和丈夫住緊，而現在其中1人要入住養老院，我不能賣出屋以付住宿費，因為還有1人要住，那麼要入住養老院的人，住宿費怎樣計？Katherine
依我理解， 如果你(作為妻子)仍然住在這Unit， 這資產便不納入Asset test.
至於實際要繳交多少住宿費, 便由Dept of Human Services (DHS）計算。
