You know those cult classic Japanese cars: 240sx, ae86, supra, etc. are going for two-three x the msrp! With mods and high kms. I’m not looking at my car as an investment. But at its current state unmodded and running smooth my mk1 TT will likely join those jdm cars over time and will get a profit from it 🤷♂️
Did much the same as you, probably a cleaner example to start with but no expense spared have racked up £3500 on mine. Never known a car like it? Would I buy German again….. nope.

Just ordered some Brembo disks and pads as they are rusty and squeeking but yeah feel the pain as other owners are I guess. Think on it as a classic and more and more are being scrapped so one day it’ll increase in value. Si
