If you are also huge on spectacular nature and scenery, Greece will completely take the cake. Greece has 80% snow mountains with 20% of all of Europe's Ultra peak mountains found in Greece, with an incredibly complex geography and topography which is Greece's true secret. Because Greece lies on 4 tectonic earth plates (European, Asian, African and a 4th one crushed in between), Greece is like a kaleidoscope of mountains, valleys, utterly pristine rivers, mountain lakes, 15.000 caves, 800 natural hot springs (some of the most in the world), one of the 3 deepest gorges in the world and the longest gorge in Europe. From a whole arc of Volcano's to Geological paradises like Meteora, Milos, Santorini, Nysiros and so on all the way to some of the least degraded forests in Europe with virgin forests like the Rhodope, or 1 of the 2 most important birding places in Europe (Kerkini lake) to endless incredible caves, highest biodiversity in Europe, and immense cultural and historical legacy found all over the lands with the most archaeological sites in the world together with Mexico and Turkey. But also the most historical museums in the world. From the only natural palm forests to alpine beauty found in Switzerland, Norway or wherever. From 400 wetlands and countless of untouched river basins, delta's, marshlands and so on all the way to Mongolian, Kenyan, Scottisch landscapes away from the world. It's this and so much more that makes Greece something truly incredible. If you only take Greece's 6000 islands then Greece is already known as one of the most stunning nations on the planet. But Greece is extremely under advertised when it is not putting all that what I just mentioned on the map. But recognition is already ramping up as Greece being a winter and hiking paradise. So what does one want more from being a summer, beach, historical and cultural paradise all the way to a hiking, winter, mountain, botanic and nature paradise. To me, these points would be very important when choosing between the 2 nations. Either way, both nations have lovely climates, food, cities, towns and villages for a good life. But I want to sparkle my interests and one week hike here, the next week go to Crete, another week, go to Athos the only monastic state in the world, another week go to the mountains of Tzoumerka for example to be engulfed in a natures paradise, go to Patmos where the last chapter of the bible was written, the book of revelation. The next week hike the Mount Olympus, one of the 10 most prominent mountains in Europe, and so on and so on. While both countries have a lot to offer, if you look in total and truly dive into *everything* both nations have to offer, Greece's list of things are so humongous, it will take you a lifetime to explore

This might be true, but Portugal allows you to become a citizen with almost no physical presence. If you have a decent salary, you can easily make this money back while continuing to live in your home country, as opposed to having to permanently relocate to Greece. You have to take a holistic approach across 5-6 years of calculations to truly compare.
Unfortunately, in 2022 it’s almost not possible to find properties in Portugal with 50.000€ cost, as prices have skyrocketed this year. According to statistics, the average price of a 100m2 apartment is 399.600€ in Lisbon, 198.200€ in Porto, and the cheapest option is in Algarve area - 76.500€.
