He is singing about finding a woman. She doesnt have to be beautiful, rich or intelligent, but she needs big boobs. The title literally means big boobs.
would have to say that this is the most explanatory video Rammstein has ever produced. They elude to the primary theme throughout... big tits, references to lactation and ejaculation throughout. I mean, for once you really don't need the lyrics to understand the primary theme, sure there are darker lyrics that offer a little mystery and depth but honestly I don't know what's so profound about the lyrics or if it offers much extra context that'd totally change your perspective of the song. I could be mistaken and this could have the most hidden meaning on the album but I don't see it in the lyrics, the tone of the song or content of the video. They basically say the lady doesn't need to be rich or pretty or this or that as long as she's got those invitingly suffocating mammaries. Also seems to indicate that the tits might be only redeeming qualities for some women. it seems that missing 4-5 other general good qualities is irrelevant when she's got walloping grapefruits over mushy tangerines.

What most seem to miss is that their videos have German subtitles, so you can just use YT's auto-translate to get lyrics in English.

I think it's pretty obvious that they're a financially successful band (and long running at that) the result being they have the capital to keep releasing super cool high budget music videos. (Deutschland, Angst, this one and the list just goes on and on.) They're artists that put their time and money into projects like this instead of spending the whole wad on vacation homes and sports cars. I absolutely love these fellows.

well for the simplicity of the setup the budget will have been outrageous. To get such shots in this level of detail requires many hours and plenty of cast and professionals.
In theory making of this video is extremely cheap, but the execution is brilliant and must have blasted the "per minute" price of a Hollywood Blockbuster.
My grandmother bought me my first Rammstein album (Sehnsucht) in 1998 when I was 13 and I've been hooked ever since.

I saw it a couple of hours after it was published and man, I laughed so hard because I do understand German pretty well! The whole video is a genius parody on Bavarian/Austrian folklore with a wink to the plethora of German soft porn movies that flooded the cinemas during the early seventies.
Yupp. I also watched it just minutes after it was released. At that time it had aldready about 225000 views. The day after it had rised to 1300000 views, later to 3300000, and so on.
The video is great. The band members are really smart because they are good at provoking. I love their music. I have watched this for perhaps 50 times now so far.
It is more a parody of german stereotypes which is most of the time bavarian and being controversial (again) in times of times of hyper intense feminism. And if you lock at octoberfest and even other smaller beer festivals it seems most women wear cheap dirndl fast fashion with main focus on deep cleavage, extra pushed breasts and short skirts.
This is not the main point fo the clip. It is about a sad backwards lonely man who is blind of so many different kinds of beauty surrounding him and all the work women are capable of.

activate subtitles if you listen to a Rammstein song (...) The lyrics are an integral part of their work and must not be missed.
What I find so great is that Rammstein has different meanings with their songs, but the musical colour soes always support whatever they do. From the getgo you could imagine that they would make such a video to the song as the piece of folk is already in the track on the album.
The same effective orchestration can be heard in "Zick Zack" which had a great video too.
Rammstein prove that they are true geniuses and do everything they do 100% right.

The Genre of the brass music is Volksmusik (folk music). The song is pretty famous in Germany (Muss i denn). When Elvis was stationed in Germany as a soldier, he heard that song and made it famous under the title "Wooden Heart".
Rammstein are in general playing in the Industrial style. A 50-50 mixture between hard metal guitars and synteshizers.
The video was made in Austria. But Bavaria (where Munich and the Oktoberfest are located) are very similar to Austria in many ways. The clothes could be from Austria and from Bavaria (Germany). The clothes of the women are called "Dirndl".
In former times everybody was running around in Bavaira & Austria in clothes like that. Nowadays this kind of clothes are mostly worn to special happenings like religious processions and parties like the Oktoberfest and the competitions & parties of the local shooting clubs etc.

When I saw the trailer, I laughed like an idiot and couldn't stop. Every time I thought about it, it set me off again! Carry On films meets Heidi with tons of innuendo, references to past songs and performances and a serious message as well. Beating the meat, feeding the goat, the pups and loads of other sexual references including the "money shot" at the end of the song. The Till Hammer and "Till" getting pushed over, a miniature version of burning Flake with a blow torch. The Schuhplattler dance, the lederhosen, so much that people expect from Oktoberfest. Richard doing his Buffalo Bill (which is a bit freaky but funny, sewing a wedding dress as well). So, so funny including the outro. Blind Till doesn't see the beauty around him and just trying to find an immediate gratification that's denied him by his intended in the video. Perhaps we're all a bit like Blind Till, some more than others.

I might be wrong, but i´m sure this isn´t just a fun video. Like many of their songs and videos, this also seems to have more layers: for example the story of an old white man who is too blind to see, that the one thing that he desires the most, is already around him the whole time/ The Destruction of EDELWEISS ( which is considered a crime in some european countries ), as a political statement ( EDELWEISS is a Code/ Identification Mark in the far right scene ) andsofurtherandsoon...

I just read that the flower edelweiss simbolice honor, eternal love and purity and also is endangered. The song says that a man wants a wife to give meaning to his dull life but the only thing that matters to him is the size of her boobs, the most shallow and insignificant thing to look for a life companion. It's like don't expect to find someone meaninful if you look in the least important thing that matters, it's like going around life blind. Greetings from Germany, Lindau (Bodensee)...I think this another faboulus strike from Rammstein...all Songs and Videos have a meaning...i personally think, this has to do with a German TV Show called "Bauer sucht Frau" - translate to "Farmer looking for Wife" - and in the Video they also came with the "Bavarian Style"...almost everybody think all Germans wear Lederhosen...thats wrong! - they do in such a funny way, i can stick to it...also the Song they implemented "muss i denn, muss i denn zum städele hinaus" - funny

So many details that make the typical Rammstein critics scratch their heads. The brass Intro is heavily based on "Muss i denn", a marching song from 1827. Most famous for a cover done by Elvis in 1960. But that progression was also "borrowed" by the socialist german party for "Das Lied der Partei" earlier in 1950. So haters of the band can decide if they accuse them of supporting militarism, the communists or americanism.
