OMFG that dot matrix printer brings back my C-64 days. I feel 2nd hand stores are WAAAAY overpriced for OLD junk or even old anything

That was fun. Thanks for taking us along. I had that Radio Shack programmable remote and used it for at least a decade. It was awesome. One cool thing about it was that you programmed it using your existing remotes. So, I could put the TV power plus the volume control on the sound system, and the cable box controls on the same "selection" and create a hybrid remote that controlled the entire entertainment system without "switching." I still long for a remote that can do as much.

I hung out a Radio Shack for computers, software and accessories. 1992, a RLX 1000 full system with 20 mb hdd, 1 3 1/2" floppy drive, Windows 3.1, DOS 6.22 and my favorite software: Desk Mate, an early gui. It also had BASIC(version of), the unit, monitor, keyboard, mouse. I had a three year warranty, the hard disk drive had a defect, they replaced it for free(it jumped from DOS or Windows to Desk Mate at will). Home Organizer was part of Desk Mate. I had a dot matrix printer(theirs). IBM-compatible, so I could expand my software collection(Wheel of Fortune, MS Bob, "Expert Software" which had a planner, astronomy and light office suites.Print Shop (all on floppy disks). Almost $1,000.00 well-worth it. I miss the store, at the former Eastfield Mall in Springfield, MA(Boston Road). Palmer, MA had the same system. Radio Shack is now online, different items for sale. I miss that computer system. I would eat, socialize and shop, in one place! Holyoke Mall, nearby, also had Radio Shack, various malls in Western New England area. I don't have the system anymore(I sold it to a friend, very inexpensively, so her daughter could get learn about computers!

I like finding Atari 8 bit hardware at thrift stores, but there has been no finds in the last few years. I did get a food processor for $5 a while back. Then I took it home, filled it up with alphabet soup, now I have a word processor.

That boxed jvc videorecorder could be used in the usa. It was 110 to 240v switchable, and it had ntsc playback. Look at the logo in the top right corner. It says m-pal and ntsc. A lot of european vcr’s of the 90’s where able to playback ntsc tapes on a pal tv screen. With the bonus of having a scart plug.

Neat finds, especially that word processor. I wonder if that thing has the awful Smith Corona Leaf Spring switches in it's keyboard. Seems like a ribbon problem as in one shot you could see the impression of the "e" on the paper from the daisy wheel even though it didn't get inked onto the page. Really wish I'd had the guts to mess around with my Dad's old Magnavox Videowriter before it got tossed out at e waste

(4:57) This reminds me of someone who listed a Kobo Glo HD as a regular Kobo Glo. Of course, I bought it and also because it had a faded screen.
(7:57) That looks to me like a collection of mockbusters.
    (19:35) I see someone wanted to have a Maroon 5 themed iPod…
