I think you’re missing the point. This isnt some doomsday scenario. This is more aimed at the new gun owner who may not be able to afford multiple rifles but more so needs to focus on one rifle, one pistol as a good foundation that can cover the bases allowing them to focus on money for ammo and training.

I think the point of this video is to advise new gun owners on a good "all round" rifle and pistol to purchase.
Similar to what I recommend to friends is getting into firearms, Ballistic Advantage 14.5 and P365 Xmacro (non comp).
The average American gun owner isn't going to shoot out the standard BA barrel, gets them more ammo and other gear if limited on funds.

No. 14.5 is money. Just without bs pin and weld. It’s just the best balance. It’s it’s a dedicated close range gun sure. But if you want across your living room to 4, 5, 600. With a k can it’s still not insanely long. The military uses 14.5 and has for exactly that. Why? It can do what a mk18 can just not as well but it can shoot farther and fast. No idgaf about a mk18 hitting steel at 1000 great shot. Doesn’t mean with worth a fuck. At 4-600 yes a mk18 can still kill you. 14.5 is just flatter faster. 13.7-16” isn’t just about bs ATF shit. It’s just the most flexible.

Great advice, and overall I agree. I’d choose a 16” over a 14.5”, because the extra 1.5” isn’t that much of a penalty in maneuverability and it gets me a fair bit more velocity, so it’s worth the trade off for me. I’d probably go with an LPVO plus back up iron sights over a red dot, but that’s shooter’s preference.

Gen IV Glock 20 (yes I carry it _EVERY_ day 4 seasons unless I need something small specifically then it's my Gen IV G19FS) because IMO once you're good with it it's about as capable as a factory handgun can be. Pair that with a 7.62 AK103K (my preference) or my 11.5 AR in the truck and I'm comfortable with the bases I have covered. IMO the 10mm really is just THE best all-around "common" handgun caliber today. The G20 shoots like a slightly beefier recoiling G17 and having had to use it to stop a moose on the kenai up in Ak I'm a BIG believer in the capability of the round to stop 2 and 4 legged creatures RIGHT NOW.

You might want to consider the Smith and Wesson M&P FPC (Folding Pistol Carbine), chambered in 9MM. It folds up nicely (about 16.5 inches) , so it can easily fit inside most backpacks. If your pistol of choice just so happens to be a S&W M&P 2.0, also chambered in 9MM, you would be able to use the same magazines (17 rounders and up) for each firearm. Simplicity is underrated in many cases. It isn't as intuitive as an AR platform, so training is a must. Still, it's not a bad option to consider.

Very good topic for beginners and a reminder and pointers to those who do our own research. From my own research, even though I have a great custom AR job and various other in the safe...I've concluded that for SHTF one rifle is either Tavor X95 or Tav 7. But, since only one...Tavor 7 as 7.62 NATO means ONE pill per customer vs 2or 3 taps req. from a smaller 5.56. Also Glock 20 in 10mm. The cheapest 10mm ammo will outperform the 9mm +p , so really you save money as ONE pill per customer. Underwood Ammo 10mm can take down anything in North America and you can also hunt w the Tav 7 which is a PISTON GUN ! Dead nuts Reliable!!

Agreed.........if your logistics are more AK-centric I would substitute that if needed. I run both and totally agree with all your points. It's only my experience and perspective growing up on AK's and then learning AR's years later that allows me that viewpoint. When I travel it is with a 14.5 AR and my G17 gen 4. Like I said, I like and use both but I've seen more cops comfortable around AR's. Not always- hell our a couple of our forest service dudes prefer the AK because it don't give a f**k about limbs and branches. They are better in the brush and better for barrier blind situations, when you need to get through something. I choose an AR when I need precision and not penetration. I am the first to admit, a 14.5 - 16" midweight barrel with a 1-6 lvpo or acog is damn hard to beat. It's like the AR is the saber/scalpel and the AK is the battle axe/war hammer. Choose accordingly. I’d want a modular rifle that can chamber 5.56 and .308. I’m looking at PWS UXR or Desert Tech MDRX. I’m in CA so it’s kind of hard to decide.
As of pistols, I’m still figuring out as well. So far I’ve been excellent (comfortable and accurate) with the Springfield XD9 series. Glocks would have been good for me but that Glock Knuckle feeling is annoying for my thick fingers. I’ll see about the Springfield Hellcat Pro and Sig Sauer P365 X Macro (which just became CA compliant).

Just grabbed myself a psa 16 mid-length rifle, I’ll be interested to see what I end up throwing on it down the line but I’m gonna get proficient with irons first I think

@@AllBraunZeroBrains Take it from someone who has put a lot of rounds down range. Save yourself the time and go right into a red dot. They are extremely intuitive and will make you much more proficient. You cant go wrong with an Eotech, If its a budgeting issue, toss a holosun on there to start. Other than a few nuances training with the dot with translate to future red dots if you choose to upgrade.

Nice video. A tip for ya, if you are presenting dark color set-ups, wear something brighter.

A question, if that is an out of the box BCM what makes that better or different than say a out of the box PSA or Colt? As being a "Milspec" rifle to me would be relatively the same until you start to upgrade the rifle components. Also a suggestion when making your video watch your background (your shirt) I couldn't see the demonstration very well. But very good video and thank you.

Thanks for the recommendations. I would definitely aggree with most of what youre saying, EXCEPT for that pressure plate for the flashlight. Your nd is exactly why I would never recommend people running them. The button on the back of the light is deliberate and you really cant mistakenly hit it…like here 😂. Great video otherwise.

Was just talking about this in another vid.
The difference between 500$ and 2000$ rifle is huge.
The 2000$ to 4000$.... You get an ambi bolt catch. And a cool logo.
Edit- yea it was 110Sass on that Admin vid the other day. Knights is fn cool but come on.
