    1:20 "Their mouthparts are on the ventral end of the head, which are modified in predatory species like centipedes to include a venomous maxilliped."
    Maxillipeds/forciuples/toxicognaths in centipedes are not modified mouthparts, they're modified front legs and are attached to the first segment of the trunk.

    Bad Dad-Joke incoming.
    The Myriapod's brain is organized around its esophagus. They must be more closely related to H. Sapiens than we first thought since, clearly, the fasted way to its head is through it's stomach...
    Ba-doom, Cheeee!
    Thank you, thank you. I'm here every Friday. Don't forget to tip your waitstaff.

    For a long time I used to hate centipedes no thanks to cultural perception twisting my idea about how these organisms work, but now that I've slolwly become more sympathetic/understanding towards arthropods I used to hate, it makes me feel comfortable that I'm learning about something I didn't know much about at first.

    Hey Dave, how about one debunking the channel Archaix? He likes to teach the Sun is a local phenomenon and isn't far away. He also says we live in a simulation. I mean he is spot on in his research debunking Christianity. It's so annoying when someone is right about so many things and then sells you on lies.

    side note: a few molecular studies suggest that Myriapoda and Chelicerata are grouped in the clade Paradoxopoda (meaning unexpected feet due to the fact it seems to contradict morphological analysis) (also called Myriochelata meaning ten-thousand claws, but rather refers to the two clades this proposed clade would contain.) However, other molecular studies suggest that the Mandibulata hypothesis is more accurate.

    Hello Dr. Farina! Ir really enjoy your videos, but in criticisms of James Tour, I have noticed a minor mistake that you have been making. When you speak about divinities, you often say that if an omnipotent being exists, we have no free will. However, in most religious texts it is stated that god chooses to limit his power so that he does not know and control everything. In this way, we have free will. You can find this is the Quran, Bible, Torah, et cetera. I just wanted to clear this up, so that you don’t make the same inaccurate claims again. Theology and science can coexist. Thank you!

    • @Masteralien186
      @Masteralien186 2 месяца назад +4

      predictive foresight of future actions does not allow free will. If a being can predict all future actions theres no room to have acted otherwise so no free will.

    • @Masteralien186
      @Masteralien186 2 месяца назад

      No theology and science cant coexist as they make mutually incompatible claims and incompatible methodologies. They can only coexist at best in a compartmentalized fashion.

    • @JetSettingBotanist
      @JetSettingBotanist 2 месяца назад

      It also sates nothing happens that’s not in accordance with gods plan. Religious texts are incredibly contradictory. Not to mention the idea of free will doesn’t even make sense when you dive into it, nor is it compatible with current neuroscience.

    • @calculi776
      @calculi776 2 месяца назад

      I know this may be a bit hard to wrap your head around, but god CHOOSES not to know everything and he CHOOSES not to predict the future.
