  • When to SPEND the money! || Tips from a thrifty mom
I love to get a good deal and save money when I can, but I recognize that there are times when its worth spending the money and trusting the professionals. I'm sharing a couple of personal examples for you today about when I'm willing to spend the money and when I can do it myself! I hope you enjoy!

I've been cutting everyone's hair at home for years now. Huge savings!
And we do a lot of crockpot meals and eat leftovers a lot. I'm surprised at how many people don't eat leftovers!

We survive off left overs. I make breakfast casseroles we eat all week. Dinner is almost always leftovers. Saves us so much money. I use reusable squeeze pouches for yogurt, applesauces, and smoothies.

We raised 5 kids (4 boys, then a girl + hubby) on one income so been there, done that!!! We had a dog but not high maintenance (mixed beagle terrier)which was great, we just bathed her and clipped her nails. I have always had my hair cut for obvious reasons and I still trim up my daughter’s hair when she wants it done which saves her money now!! I would get a referral for a dog groomer or maybe over time your dog will trust the one you have picked…Great tips to save!!😊💕🐾👍🙏🇺🇸

My hair is so hard for hairdressers, they always mess it up. I do the wolf cut for layers in mine and my daughters hair and have my husband or mom trip my ends here and there. I'll go see a professional once a year or so. I also dye my hair at home as well. My husband used to pay for his hair and he hasn't in about 5 years. I had a dog I had to get groomed for quite a few years (A chow mix and a shih tzu), but now we have dogs that don't require grooming. The periodic shower with our current dogs is all we need hahaha. We try to save money where we can!

We do haircuts at home too. It's ridiculous how much they want for haircuts these days. And perms. I want a perm so bad, but I don't have the almost $100 they want for one. My hair is long. I was thinking of cutting it short and then getting a perm, but I don't like how poufy it gets when my hair is short. I don't know. Anyway, enough ranting. Good video!
