Can't believe someone uploaded a 16 Horsepower's live performance in HQ in 2023... Thank you, thank you! They're my favorite band and I'm so grateful 🖤
Yes, just last spring I was thinking that what a shame there aren't any more live performances from this amazing band available. So much thanks to the uploader.
I reckon they still have lots of fans considering Wovenhand is still active and DEE just dropped a solo album this year. (It's a shame that Pascal is busy performing with that convicted murderer and woman-beater over in France.)
@@makeitwooble in a music style where expressivity and intensity are of paramount importance, his singing is perfect. Not perfect in a formal sense, but perfect for the music. It is great sounding to me
1995 by chance I heard Black Soul Choir on a local radio station...I called as many people and told them no matter what is going this evening we have to go and see this band 16 Horsepower. About 8 of my friends and I went (all in our 50's now) ...just a 3 piece with the original bass player on an upright bass and Jean-Y being amazing on the drums. When DEE took out the Accordion my life changed forever as did some of my friends.....I don't believe in god but i'd let DEE preach anyday to me.....He has more talent in a hangnail than most in the musical world. Wovenhand is the same to me also....so good! Like you, I hope cooler heads prevail! Ty ROTS2
I saw David Eugene Edwards perform at Roadburn last year, solo, and it's clear aging is taking his toll on his manic energetic and pained voice we hear here
I went to school with Nick Cave. Caulfield Grammar in Melbourne Australia. I like this band but I think religion is BS. I like your analogy. Well picked.
Goosebumps again in 2024! Thank you for uploading!

The best band after the 60's en 70's....for me !
Crazy how he didn't sing one vocal line that's the same as the album version. He was improvising the whole time
Indeed. Not that great sounding though.

DEE is a big love of mine. From Moscow with love and peace, however it sounds these days.
Wonderful man and artist
