Great video! Really impressed with the detailed review of the new ice fishing shed. The quality looks top-notch. Quick question: How does it hold up in extreme weather conditions? Has anyone had the chance to test it out in heavy snow or high winds? Keen to know before I make my purchase. Thanks for sharing this with the community! 🎣🏠 #icefishing #outdooradventure

I like everything about the new hut other than it being so short! Also wish they would upgrade the tie downs from laces to a proper strap.

I have provided the feedback to Piscifun R & D so next year they will have those areas fixed. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching!

Im considering one of these tents but keep thinking about the side that has a tall door. That side looks "deflated" kinda because it does not have frame rods like other 3 sides, How tight is it against the ice and is there an anckor point to hold that corner down when the door is open? Thanks.

My apologies that I didn’t done a better on showing all Corners and anchors them down in my video. To your question, yes, it can be anchors down into ice by all corners .

Would you pick this over the 949i? Is it same space as 949i?

100% no doubt for the newer one and for the price wise :)

Thanks for this review. I had one in my cart and was about to buy before seeing this video and another. This tent looked so promising until I realized it’s WAY too short. I can’t believe they got so much good feedback from last year and then made the new one shorter. If they put another 6-8 inches of height they would be a nice usable tent. I need a smaller tent than my 6x12 for solo trips and had high hopes for this one, but this just isn’t it. I’m also not a fan of full doors like that for wind and cold because they aren’t as rigid and you can’t shovel show on the skirt and then go in and out.

Does this shelter completely black out when closed up, or does light come through the stitching like alot of others?

    • @mzadventures2303

The newer style one is pretty much 99% black out! The stitching is perfect just like Eskimo styles pop ups. If that answers your question?

Thanks for the review! Wish I held off from buying my 949i and got the new hub from piscifun 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thanks Phil for subscribing! I LOVE 949i tho. One of my go to pop ups! I still have it in my garage. Yes, this year, Piscifun started using the same factory who made Eskimo tents oversea. So the materials is pretty much the same. It’s a game changer on pricing for sure.

Love the opening compared to the old one. How about the stakes does it have a bigger circle. My old tent stakes didn’t fit.

Yes, that’s one of the best things that I loved about this new tent. Thanks for subscribing Colby. Appreciate it
