    Why the small bet with top pair (ace ten) on turn. Why not allin? Gave Owen pot odds to catch up. Sometimes i think the new style needs some merging with the old style. Even half pot bet would have made snese to me.

    The fact that he played 8 hours the first day while racking up chips but then left after 4 hours on day 2 when he was losing it all back says alot about him. Also shows how Doug was able to adapt and target his weaknesses on day 2

    • @bobIsCoolhaha
      @bobIsCoolhaha Год назад +4

      Alot of assumptions in that statement. #1 the amount of hands they play, mainly luck will affect the outcome of the match. #2 he might have planned to get out after 4 hours on day 2 which is why he played much lower variance overall (not topping up past 100BB etc...)

      You need to see the full session,
      Also.....who doesn't stay long when they winning and leaves when losing 🤣
      When you are either card dead, figured out etc etc.....its smart to get up and leave. Go home study, like Doug did for day 2!

    It's hard to say whether Doug adjusted for day2, Owen played tired/timid/scared or the cards were just better for Doug on Day 2.
    I think it was mostly Owen playing tight to secure the win but it is interesting that it seems to be a pattern now that Doug does better on Day2 of these challenges.

    I don't think a guy who 3 bets 89suited preflop, then leads 1/4 pot on flop only to 3 bet the raise over him on T84 board with 2nd pair and backdoors is good... getting half your stack in a pot where you're hoping for a river flush (and it may not be even good) is literally what good poker players look for. We look for aggro players who will put half their stack in bad and then fold (which is bad) or call off with 2nd pair (which is arguably worse).

    Does Doug ever get it right when he randomizes with his cards? I saw where he folded AA vs the AK bluff and lost big because he randomized on that hand. Then this time he randomized and pulled the wrong card and lost a big hand here as well. Maybe stop trying to just play the math and play some actual poker Doug. If your gut is telling you to fold it's probably a fold.

    Don't set your hope on the uncertainty of wealth, but on God, who richly provides us with all things to enjoy. 1 Timothy 6:17 For God so loved the world that He gave His son Jesus (unto death on the cross) that whoever believes in Him will not die but have eternal life. John 3:16 The conseqences are eternal.

    I love watching Doug show everyone how bad at this game he really is. He talks like he's a real poker mind then he does flips to call or fold for 46K, lol! This so satisfying to watch. This is great payback for that amateur outburst he had when he caught that Q on the river when he should have been dust in that heads up match. What an immature tool...

      You know whats funnier? People like you who still grind the micros and then think they know what qualifies as a poker mind.
