Ty for the quick response LEDGlow ..really appreciate it..I watched ur other video about expandable circuit and looks like mines would be a mini circuit.just wanted to double check with u guys.. I have 2000 toyota celica.. love ur product and videos.its straight forward and on point..keep up the good work guys.. highly recommended seller! !
I have had this kit installed in my 09 Civic sedan for about a year and I am very pleased with it. I had no idea you could disable the auto on feature which really bugged me during day time driving because I would have to manually turn it off. But now its perfect I only turn it on at night. It would probably be best to do the headlight install method but I preferred not to mess with any wiring. Easy install and looks great I really like this product.
Gabriel, the 7 Color Lights draw less than 2 amps so it will not cause the fuse to blow and you won't need a 15 or 20A replacement. If the fuse does blow then there is a short somewhere within the wiring than from the installation of the interior kit. If you decide to use an add a circuit, you'll use a mini add a circuit for your 2013 Toyota Camry. If you have any other questions or concerns just ask!
Thanks for the help. I ended up using an add a circuit and connecting it to my headlights. They look great and I am very pleased! Great product and will recommend to others!
I love my kit. I took the time and worked it to my headlights, doors (each light turns on depending which door is opened), and wired it to my dome lights so that when I press my unlock button all the lights come on. I also did a similar thing with my exterior lights with the doors and dome lights (I added an extra switch so I can turn them on or off while driving) they also turn on with my unlock button. Keep up the good work. 👍🏻
How did you get it hooked up to some many places? Did you have to add anything extra or did you just add wires and connect each of them together to get it all to work?
Thanks for the compliments, we really appreciate it! We use our Expandable LED Lighting Kits at full brightness when filming our videos. If you have any other questions or concerns just ask!
Bryan, it is possible to have the kit turn on with both the driver and passenger doors open, you'll just need to extend the black ground wire and connect it to both door pins. You can do this by using 16 or 18 gauge automotive grade wiring. If you have any other questions or concerns just ask!
Joe, with the door pin switch it will remove the connection and it will just shut the kit off. The dome light is computer controlled and the kit will not connect and function in that same manner. If you have any other questions just ask!
Thanks for the video. Well, guess best way to do a door on/off mod is to run a ground wire to all of the door switches, that way no matter which door opens, lights come on/off when doors are closed and in addition, a secondary LED kit that runs to an independent ground, and separate power source so that you also have the option to manually turn on/off whenever you want when the doors are closed. Two kits, $80ish...still beats that factory $500 add-on.
If you purchase a mini expandable circuit from us, the 4 amp fuse is included with the circuit, but if you purchase it from your local auto parts store you may have to purchase the fuse separately. You can use a 4 or 5 amp fuse, but a 10 amp fuse is a little too high when combined with a 10 amp fuse used to power the kit.
I'd try relocating the control box to more of the center of your car by your center console or on an interior trim panel attached to the body instead of the seat. The music mode picks up the vibration, not the direct feed from the music. Make sure the controller has a solid connection and adjust the wheel for the optimal outcome. If you're still having issues with the music mode after moving the control box then we'll set up a return to find out exactly what the issue is.
Peter, you can tap the positive and ground wires into your aftermarket stereo wiring harness if has a 12v(+) and 12v(-). If you decide to use an expandable circuit, you can purchase it directly from us or from your local auto parts store, either one will work fine. If you message back the year/make/model I can tell you exactly which expandable circuit you'll need for your installation.
Yes we do! We have a few different types of white interior kits available including the 4pc White LED Interior Lighting Kit which features four 9 inch tubes, 4pc Expandable White LED Lighting Kit which features four 15 inch tubes and the White Expandable SMD LED Interior Lighting Kit which features four flexible 12.5 inch tubes and can hold up to 14 tubes. Visit our site for more details! If you have any other questions just ask!
Sungwoo, our interior lights are universal and will definitely work in your 2013 Civic! We recommend that our lighting kits are installed by professionals so if you're not experienced at doing installations, you can take your kit to any stereo shop that does installations and they should be able to take care of it for you. Let me know if you have any other questions!
I'm just wondering if it will work at my car which is 2013 civic. and I have no Idea how to set it up. should I go to body shop or something? I just don't know how to set it up :(
Vu, for the auto illumination function, you would choose one of the methods and go from there. If the kit is connected to the headlight switch and the door is closed, the kit will work, but if you connect the kit to the door pin, the kit will not work when the door is closed. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask!
How do you guys get them to glow so bright? I've had my kit for almost 4yrs now and I've moved them around but I never get them to glow as bright as you guys make them in the videos....BTW the kit is awesome still glowing bright.
Victor, if you install the kit using option 2, you will not be able to bypass the ignition switch. You will have to have it wired with a toggle switch to cut the connection to the kit. Let me know if you have any other questions!
What problems are you having connecting the black ground wire to the door pin? If you want to have the lights turn on when you open your door, the black wire must be connected to the door pin. If not, you can use the ignition switch or headlight switch methods as shown in the installation video.
Alex, you will locate, remove and disconnect the door pin. You'll then ground the black wire to a spade terminal, insert the terminal between the door pin, and reinstall the door pin. If you have any other questions or concerns just ask!
Hi there. I have the 7 Color Lights that I want to install. I want to buy a cigarette lighter adapter but reviews for your version of it say it only comes with 2A so it blows out right away. Should I buy a 15A or 20A replacement? And if I were to buy an Add-A-Circuit, do I need a mini fuse? I'm installing this on a 2013 Toyota Camry. thanks.
i installed mine to my subwoofer amp and have constant power all the time just have to manually turn the system on and off no big deal though i like being able to turn it on whenever
Just got it installed now..got the expandable circuit off a store with 5amp fuse..I connected it to my headlight fuse since thats only 10 amp plus the 5 amp I bought..its a constant fuse..question..will this drain my battery in the long run??
Hi Ledglow.. just bought myself the 4pc 7color kit and about to install it tom.. quick question.. can I just tap the positive wire and ground wire to my aftermarket stereo wiring harness? If not..can I just buy the addacircuit at OReilly or it has be from ur company to work? And what is 4ohms? Can I just buy any addacircuit that will fit to my fusebox and still work? Ty
I love the light kit! However I tried installing them so they turn on using the ignition, option 2 in the video, and does not automatically turn on. It still turns on and off fine using the control box but it does not automatically go on and off. It is the the ignition switch fuse right now and we tried enabling the auto illumination mode and still nothing. What do we have to do to make it work! I have a Ford Fusion 2010 SE. Thanks.
Elden, unfortunately we do not offer a single color teal interior kit, but teal is featured in our 7 Color LED Interior Lighting Kit as well as our Million Color Pro and Million Color Mini Interior Kits. If you have any other questions just ask!
So with the kit connected to the headlights and auto illumination enabled, is the kit only on/off or can you still control effects from the box? And as a suggestion, if possible, make the next version of these capable of auto illuminating but still being able to turn off from the kit.
If you want to hook your interior kit up to turn on when your door opens, you must power the kit from a constant 12v source. In some cases you can use the cigarette lighter circuit if it is functional with the car off, but if not you can use the dome light fuse, horn fuse or radio memory fuse. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask!
If I want my lights to turn on when I open my doors like my dome lights do what circuit should I connect to? I was going to use the cigarette lighter circuit but I heard that only gets power when the car is on. So would the cigarette lighter circuit work? If not which should I use? Thanks
hello im curious if its possible to wire/set this so the lights make a solid not flashing red light when the door is opened and turn off when door is closed and then on again when the ignition is turned on
How would you make it that the LED kit turns on from turning a switch from off to on? would it be exactly the same as the headlight method except on a different switch? please help
Where do you have the control box located now? Installing it anywhere near a speaker output is fine and make sure that the sensitivity wheel on the side of the control box is all the way up. If you have any other questions just ask!
so theres a mode for cars that turn the dash lights like battery, mph, gas, and so on but its not the exact headights (hopefully you know what i mean).if i connect it to the headlights does it always have to be headlights?if i have it on the mode to turn on the lights will it work too?
Just to clarify, For the headlight option, once you locate the headlight wire, you remove it from the fuse, splice the wires together (with the scotch lock), then plug it back into the fuse box? Looking to do this for my 07 Corolla. Thank you
***** Thanks for contacting us. You will want to first confirm that the headlight wire from the fuse is a switched power source using a multi-meter because some of the other wires may be constant sources. After you confirm that you found the headlight switched source wire you can splice into it with a scotch lock and you're good to go! Let me know if I can help with anything else!
I installed in my car but i did it different when i turn my car on the led turns on is blue but how ever in some states are legal and some not depends on colors and brightness.
It seems the programming option is not working for me. I’m doing exactly as you say to enable auto illumination but it is not working. Maybe it’s the certain fuse I’m tapping into? I even tried calling customer support.
Hey Ledglow, I bought your product. I want to connect it and to have an auto illumination. I have difficulty connecting it to the door switch. Is there any other place to connect to have an auto illumination?
ahhhh I'm sold, if I'm lucky I'll be getting a job tomorrow and this kit is on my list of things to buy... along with a new driver door handle the previous owner somehow ripped off... smh lol
Yes Alex, you will need the pink 4amp fuse in the expandable circuit along with the stock fuse from your car or else the kit will not power. We included this 4amp fuse with our expandable circuits, but you can purchase it at the radio shack where you bought the expandable circuit or at any local auto shop.
The kit only functions at 12 volts, so there's no way you can change the amount of volts and still get the kit to work. What kind of interior kit do you have? The Single Color Kits come with numerous brightness levels, but if you have a 7 Color Kit and it's too bright, unfortunately you won't be able to change the brightness levels. You can reposition the tubes so the brighter part of the glow would be more below your seats or facing more upward under your dashboard.
Have you tried adjusting the sensitivity wheel? If you are still having issues with the music sensor, contact our Technical Support Dept. at 877.LED.Glow and our techs will be able to figure out the exact issue you're having.
When you synced it to the headlight switch, was there a reason why the LEDs were flashing? Was it just the type of light? I'm looking for the one that will stay just a solid light when the headlights are on.
Ryan Tran The LED lights were flashing because the kit was set to the flashing mode. You can set the kit to the solid illumination mode or any other lighting pattern you prefer. Let me know if I can help with anything else!
Yes Marco, our lighting kits are universal and can be installed to any vehicle. Installation of the kit shouldn't take any longer than 1 hour and it will not affect your gas levels. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns!
I'm deciding on either getting the cigarette lighter adapter or the fuse but i was wondering I turned it off on the box and left it plugged into the cigarette lighter would it still drain power?
+Jacob Poche As long as the outlet has power going to it, it will send power to the box, however, if the box is off, the kit won't be draining any power.
Thanks for the demo vid. 2 questions: If you connect the ground to the door, will it still draw power when the door is shut? Also, all I would want is for the lights to be on when the driver's door is open. Is the auto-illumination feature already activated for this purpose? Or is it necessary to do the reprogramming? Thanks!
Tim Thornhill Thanks for contacting us! The kit will not draw power when grounded to the door pin and the door is shut. The kit won't be able to function, therefore it won't draw any power. Also, you will need reprogram the the control box for the auto illumination function by following the same steps shown in the video. If you have any other questions or concerns don't hesitate to contact us!
First, would try and see if there is a fuse in the fuse box for the headlamp and connect the power wire from the control box to that. The other choice would be to wire it to the door latch.
Thank you for the compliments, Peter, we really appreciate it! You are good to go with a mini expandable circuit for your 2000 Toyota Celica. If you do end up buying one from your local auto parts store, make sure you get a 4 amp mini fuse as well. This fuse is used as circuit protection for the kit and the kit will not power on without it. If you have any other questions or concerns don't hesitate to ask!
Yes, you can definitely use that add a circuit for powering your 7 Color LED Interior Lighting Kit. If you have any other questions or concerns just ask!
How do you test for voltage? Do you just use the multimeter and touch the two points? because in the video you only used the red prong and clipped the other to the battery? do you have to clip it to the battery or can we just connect it to any piece of metal?
The black one needs to be clipped or touched to any bare metal source for ground. Then the red one can be touched to the power source. You do not need to connect it directly to the battery.
Unfortunately the kit will not function with the door closed because you are closing the power circuit going to the kit with your door. When the door is opened, the power circuit to the kit opens and you'll be able to use your kit. If you're not going to use the auto illumination function then I recommend finding another grounding location for the black wire so you'll be able to use the kit with your door closed. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Is it possible to take advantage of the switches on my dome light? My dome light has auto on as well as a manual toggle between off and on. It would be awesome if I could somehow use that...
Noah Zelezny Unfortunately you cannot utilize the switches on your dome light because that uses its own circuit board and always has power going to it. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns!
Rennigade Unfortunately you cannot do this because normally the dome light always has ground since you can manually turn it on and off with the door opened or closed.
+Newark Network Yes that is correct. Since you're grounding the kit to the door pin, the power circuit to the kit closes with the door and reopens when the door is opened. This is a popular feature with the kit that people use who only want the kit to turn on when they open the door. If there's anything else I can help with just ask!
hi there is there a way to connect the led glow to turn on when on when doors open and turn off when engine starts running just like the dome and door lights do ?
Rury Carrillo If you connect your LEDGlow interior kit to turn on when the doors are open, they will not function when the door is closed so when you're driving on the road, the kit will have no power going to it. Let me know if you have any other questions!
So if I run it to my ignition when I turn the car on the lights will stay on til I turn the car off right? And which expandable circuit would I need to do this with your million color Bluetooth leds?
Bradley, unfortunately doing this will not work for your kit. Each interior kit comes with a sound activation mode that will react to the music playing inside of your car with the integrated mic in the control box. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns!
For the Key Ignition funtion, will the led lights still be on when i turn on the engine and start driving? Or does it only work when i turn the key ignition to "On"?
Luis Sanchez As long as you don't install the black ground wire to the door pin then you will be able to use the kit when the car is on and when you're driving. Let me know if I can help with anything else!
Is it possible to have the auto illumination, and the sound activated mode at the same time on? I would like to use the headlight method, but want the lights to dance to my music too.
Gavin Youker Yes, you can use both the auto illumination function and sound activation mode at the same time, but since the auto illumination function is enabled you will not be able to turn the kit off until the headlights are off.
***** The spade terminal used in this auto illumination install video is not included with the interior light kit. If we keep getting more requests for this component we will start adding it to be included with kits but at this current time it is not. Let me know if I can help with anything else!
Is it possible to have it hooked up so its on when the door is open and the car is not running like when you are getting in the car, and will go off with the interior lights when the door is shut, and also come on when when you are using the ignition and turn the car on? I would appreciate your time if you can respond, thank you!
supersnake151 You can use either one of the installation methods you mentioned, but unfortunately you cannot connect the kit to two different power sources, it's either one or the other. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns!
Unfortunately in order to do this then you will need to have 2 separate kits. That's the one downfall about connecting the kit to the door pin, it will only function when the door is open and will not function at all when the door is closed. Let me know if you have any other concerns!
If i want to use any 12v source, well, possibly one in your video, Would I be able to splice the positive wires together (probably to the cigarette lighter) instead of purchasing the add-a-circuit?
Nicholas Tuvera If you're looking to splice your kit into your car's cigarette lighter, you will have to confirm that it is 3amps to power the LED kit. If it is then you should be good to splice the wires, but if it exceeds 3 amps you will have to use either a cigarette lighter adapter or an expandable circuit to power the LED kit. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns!
+Tarek Taher You can hook it up to the battery, use the cigarette lighting with our socket adapter, or use an expandable circuit which would provide power via the fuse panel.
You can definitely hardwire the kit to your vehicle's battery, but yes, it will be constantly taking power so you'd be able to use your kit whether the car is on or off. Let me know if you have any other questions!
I have a 1967 mustang and am thinking about getting the interior and exterior lighting kits, is there anything special to do because it is such an old car?
Jonas Dunlap As long as your 1967 Mustang is connected to a 12 volt power source then you shouldn't have any problems installing interior and exterior lighting. If you decide to go through with the installation, send some pictures of the installed kits to our Facebook page! We'd love to see our lights on that classic!
On amazon they have LEDGlow single color lighting for the same price, if not more, than the 7-color lighting. Is there a loss in brightness with the 7-color set? I don't understand why someone would pay for just one color when they could have them all for the same price. Tho i could not find any specifications on the lights anywhere.
Evan Scott There isn't a loss of overall brightness between the two kits, but Single Color Kits come included with 7 different brightness levels whereas the 7 Color Kit only has 1 level which is a good brightness. Is there anything specific about either of the kits that you would like to know about?
Is there a way to link them to the lights that are already inside? The lights that come on when you unlock your car and than they switch of once you turn on the engine?
Yes. To do that, you'll need to connect the power wire from the control box to a wire that only receives power when the doors are open. The dome light power wire is the most common.
hunterskateboard Yes, the Expandable Circuit comes included with the 4amp fuse so you will not need to purchase that fuse separately! Let me know if you have any other questions!
OG BananaSwag If you're looking to install your LED interior lights to turn on when the door opens, you will want to power the kit from a constant source rather than a switched power source. If you open the door and you're connected to a switched power source then the kit won't turn on unless the car is turned on. Let me know if you have any other questions!
sappyyyyyyGO If you’re looking to have the Interior Kit illuminate whenever you open any door on your car, you will need to follow the instructions in the video for the door pin installation. However, you will need to add 3 separate ground lead wires from the main ground and run those wires to the other door pins of the passenger door and back seat doors. You can add those new ground lead wires by using 16 or 18 gauge automotive grade wiring. If you have any other questions or concerns don’t hesitate to ask!

Just to clarify,
For the headlight option, once you locate the headlight wire, you remove it from the fuse, splice the wires together (with the scotch lock), then plug it back into the fuse box? Looking to do this for my 07 Corolla.
Thank you
***** Thanks for contacting us. You will want to first confirm that the headlight wire from the fuse is a switched power source using a multi-meter because some of the other wires may be constant sources. After you confirm that you found the headlight switched source wire you can splice into it with a scotch lock and you're good to go! Let me know if I can help with anything else!
Ty LEDglow.. last question.. do I have to buy the 4amp fuse? Other fuses wont work like a 5 amp or 10 amp fuse?
I installed in my car but i did it different when i turn my car on the led turns on is blue but how ever in some states are legal and some not depends on colors and brightness.
V nice kit i like it
Is it possible to make the kit light up when i open my door but also work while im driving at all?!?
We usually recommend using a fuse that is no higher than 10 amps, but you should be in the safe zone with using a 15 amp ACC fuse.
Is there any other place to connect to have an auto illumination?
ahhhh I'm sold, if I'm lucky I'll be getting a job tomorrow and this kit is on my list of things to buy... along with a new driver door handle the previous owner somehow ripped off... smh lol
tyler locke thats what Im saying right now.
Ok got it. I bought my own add a circuit at radio shack do I need that pink fuse you got there
Yes Alex, you will need the pink 4amp fuse in the expandable circuit along with the stock fuse from your car or else the kit will not power. We included this 4amp fuse with our expandable circuits, but you can purchase it at the radio shack where you bought the expandable circuit or at any local auto shop.
If i use option 2. can i turn off the led lights while driving if i dont want them on?
Hello I was thinking about getting the 7 colored lights. I wanted to know can I use ADD-A-CIRCUIT ATM MINI BLADE STYLE FUSE TAP?
Will the solid color bass in solid mode when music is playing if u don't want to use multi color mode
If you do not have the auto illumination on when do the lights turn on?
2 questions:
If you connect the ground to the door, will it still draw power when the door is shut?
Also, all I would want is for the lights to be on when the driver's door is open. Is the auto-illumination feature already activated for this purpose? Or is it necessary to do the reprogramming?
Thanks!
Tim Thornhill Thanks for contacting us! The kit will not draw power when grounded to the door pin and the door is shut. The kit won't be able to function, therefore it won't draw any power. Also, you will need reprogram the the control box for the auto illumination function by following the same steps shown in the video. If you have any other questions or concerns don't hesitate to contact us!
What's the best way to power the lights like your dome light works when unlocking and shutting off your car?
First, would try and see if there is a fuse in the fuse box for the headlamp and connect the power wire from the control box to that. The other choice would be to wire it to the door latch.
@@ledglow Would the lights turn on when the door is unlocked then? I am trying to do that as well.
If you have any other questions or concerns don't hesitate to ask!
do you guys just have the teal LED lights
if its wired to a constant power source will you still be able to turn it off and on threw the box itself
+Andrew z Yes you can!
Yes, you can definitely use that add a circuit for powering your 7 Color LED Interior Lighting Kit. If you have any other questions or concerns just ask!
I'm thinking about buying a new car in a few months. But I want to buy a kit for my current car. Can I install in different cars?
+Gabriel Martinez Yes of course! All of our kits are designed to universal, so they can work any vehicle that can supply them with 12 volts of power.
The interior kit pulls extremely low amps when it is not in use, so you will not have to worry about it draining your battery over time.
Where can you get a scotch lock connector from??
Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns!
i want to do that when doors open it lights up that nice
For the door pin method, would I just be able to strip the dome light ground wire and connect the LED ground wire to that?
Rennigade Unfortunately you cannot do this because normally the dome light always has ground since you can manually turn it on and off with the door opened or closed.
So if I connect the ground wire to the door pin I can't use my kit when the door is closed?? Like at all, even with the car turned on
+Newark Network Yes that is correct.
That is correct. Check your vehicles fuse box or look in the owners manual.
Gavin Youker Yes, you can use both the auto illumination function and sound activation mode at the same time, but since the auto illumination function is enabled you will not be able to turn the kit off until the headlights are off.
does the kit come with the attatchments to hook up to the cig lighter
That is sold separate.
For the door pin method, you say to use a spade terminal. Is that included in the kit?
No problem! Thank you!
If i want to use any 12v source, well, possibly one in your video,
Would I be able to splice the positive wires together (probably to the cigarette lighter) instead of purchasing the add-a-circuit?
Nicholas Tuvera If you're looking to splice your kit into your car's cigarette lighter, you will have to confirm that it is 3amps to power the LED kit. If it is then you should be good to splice the wires, but if it exceeds 3 amps you will have to use either a cigarette lighter adapter or an expandable circuit to power the LED kit. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns!
in order to power the lighting kit, does it have to be plugged into the battery is there another source of power, other than a cigarette lighter?
Any substitutes I can find lying around for the automotive gray wire?
Slayn00 If you're looking to extend any of the wires, I recommend using 16 or 18 gauge automotive grade wiring.
Does the expandable circuit come with the 4 amp fuse? Or do I need to purchase that separately?
hunterskateboard Yes, the Expandable Circuit comes included with the 4amp fuse so you will not need to purchase that fuse separately! Let me know if you have any other questions!
Sorry.. I'm still new.. can i know wht is the blue thing tht u guys use to connect the wire at 0.48??
The blue thing is just a standard wire connector that comes with the expandable circuit.
In my fuse box I have a 15 amp ACC fuse would that work to power the system?
What gague/caliber do I use for the scotchlok connector?
Can it be powered through a button switch, so you can turn them on off whenever you want?
Yes.
For the door controlled lights, what would be a switched power source that I could splice into. My car is a 1995 nissan 300zx NA
@@ledglow is there a way to use the door pin method with the headlight method?
hi there, how do i connect the led whenever i open any door, the led will light up? Thanks and your reply will be much appreciated!
sappyyyyyyGO If you’re looking to have the Interior Kit illuminate whenever you open any door on your car, you will need to follow the instructions in the video for the door pin installation.
