In the last shots from above Bradfield, you can almost see Leppington station in the distance. What a wasted opportunity to have not extended the metro to join to it. If there was to be a problem on the St Marys line, travellers could get to the rest of Sydney via the Liverpool line.
Great work Colin! I believe 9:26 shows the first building of the aerotropolis - Advanced Manufacturing Research Facility, which is set to open to the public soon. Exciting, isnt it ?
Great clip. I reckon we should stock some of the paddocks either side of the elevated sections of the track with a few kangaroos and emus. Never mind your Harbour Bridge and Opera House. American tourists in particular would fly in to WSI just to see that.
@@colindobson4045 I haven't seen them for a little while, so they might have been relocated, but there was a mob of emus occasionally wandering through the golf course and archery range at Werrington. There used to be large numbers of them (I assume introduced) in the old ADI site, so that's probably where they came from. On a side note, their scat is very impressive. Looks like someone dumped a full shovel load of seed laden, road 'hot mix' on the ground.
@tacitdionysus3220 I seen 3 roos when I was filming at Orchard Hills and sometimes they are down near the Sydney water pipeline hopefully they have locked out the roos on the airport site 😬
I literally saw DOZENS of kangaroos near the Aerotropolis/Bradfield metro station during our last visit a couple of weeks ago. They gathered in groups and looked alert and cute at the same time, lol
@@colindobson4045 Hope so. Roos are a problem at many country airports. Bankstown Airport was/is (?) famous for its hares (Hoxton Park airport also had them until it was closed). They sit out and feed near the middle of the airport, but curiously never interfere with aircraft operations. Hares don't burrow; if it were rabbits it would be a different story.
@stepheneddison2335 if look at the map of the train line you would know where your at in the videos st marys station is always first a Bradfield last and before that is airport station and so on cheers col 👍
all coming together nicely.
Sir, you're doing an amazing job documenting the progress. Thank you.
@@f1aziz thank you 😊

Totally agree 👍

@zengxin8068 didn't know that thanks for the heads up 👍
It looks like they starting to lay the tracks at various sections. I reckon this time next year we should see the stations taking shape.
Yes I think the tracks will layed down in some sections soon that's for sure 👍
@@colindobson4045 Reason why i'm saying that coz some sections of the metro you've shown have rails stacked up waiting to be layed
@@Epic3032 oh OK 👍
This is Allsome, I'm so proud this is all happening in our own back yard, thanks for sharing.

I will come down when its finished and go for a ride from central to the air-port .
If Im still alive
If you live around Central I'd use mascot mate however I suspect a little Sarcasm in your comment 😆
@@colindobson4045 just for a joy-ride. gotta test out all the new freeways since I worked in Sydney 30 years ago
Hint..Why not show a compass heading as video changes direction..guessing final Airport location?
