No audio quality loss whatsoever. It uses the oem factory amp so all that is retained. There are quite a few cheaper brands using the same frame and harness but I went for the Teyes CC3 as it’s a decent company and their UI of their software is so much better. Everything flows well and looks like one system unlike a lot of the Chinese UI’s that take you to different design screens in each section. This video was just me showing a demo of how I mapped the steering wheel voice button to the Android Auto assistant and CarPlay Siri. I’ve since switch my phone to an iPhone so I use CarPlay now. I have another video of a different installation I did on the Model A showing Siri activation
@@cokellbrains I didn’t use the OEM reverse camera. There is no lag with the oem camera but it involves depinning and the camera wires to get it to work with the unit. But that’s not the reason I chose not to use it. I chose not to keep oem camera as the quality looked rubbish compared to the sort of quality that’s available these days with AHD cameras. And seeing as the screen quality is so good, I just didn’t want to settle for crappy camera image. So instead I installed the free supplied AHD camera that came with the Teyes. I mounted it in the same OEM mount and just removed the original camera. It still looks like an OEM camera visually. Here’s a video demo of my camera in action ruclips.net/user/shortsDPnsgDtzUVc
Hi Ahmed. I'm in Australia. Looking to put a teyes in a 2006 Lexus IS 250 with sat nav, mark Levinson and OEM camera. According to teyes Australian web site I will need option B. Where did you purchase yours? Is there anything I need to be mindful of? Are you aware of any good installation guides. Thanks in advance.
Steering wheel is custom made by a guy called Elvin from Singapore. I had this steering wheel traded in return for some work I did for a customer. The leather airbag I made myself.

Out of the box as it is it cannot be mapped because the two wires from the steering wheel buttons go directly to the canbus module and is pre-programmed into the functions. So it cannot be changed. I kept the wire that controls volume and track up and down as default as the preprogrammed for that is fine. But I had to change the voice button as Siri is something I use heavily on CarPlay. So I modified the teyes harness taking that wire to the programmable key pin.
It involves cutting a wire that is going to the canbus module of the kit and re-routing it to the programmable key1 or key2 at the back of the Teyes unit. However, the Teyes harness seems to come with key 1 and key 2 depinned so the harness connector doesn’t have a pin on to go on the Teyes. So what I did is purchased a spare matching connector from China and depinned the crimp and transferred it over to the Teyes harness. Once this is done then it can be programmed to invoke the CarLink app
Correct, the default action is it’s hard programmed to call teyes voice which I found rubbish. Teyes trying to push their teyes voice app. I disabled that app and I modified the wiring harness to allow key mapping for that button.
Sick! Making it look as OEM as possible :D
Do you notice any audio quality difference with that head unit ? Or does it use the stock amp ?
Also curious about this

Where did you get your steering wheel?

How did you map your buttons? Or which can bus seeing did you use?

How did you disable teyes voice and replace it with your custom input? When i disable teyes the voice the button still prompts teyes voice

Thought the voice command only called Teyes voice, how did you map the button?

How do you do that specifically?
