SAMPLIFLY - dangerous goods transport via autonomous drones - demonstration event

We recently launched our new service, which uses autonomous drones to transport dangerous goods beyond the pilot's visual line of sight. This makes us the first in Europe to provide this innovative new service!
And what better way to celebrate this milestone than to see the drone in action? We hosted a demonstration event to share this groundbreaking new development with the community.

For this project, we collaborated with drone operator ADLC and BASF Antwerpen. The drone is designed to fly great distances (up to 50 km) carrying a payload of 15 kg. Thanks to these capabilities, SGS can reduce the transport time of analysis samples by up to six times.
This not only increases the efficiency of operations for both BASF Antwerpen and SGS but also reduces the environmental impact of both parties, compared to road transport.
