- Fresh tension erupted at Sandeskhali island in West Bengal today when BJP supporters allegedly attacked a Trinamool Congress worker during a protest. Tatan Gayen, an aide of Trinamool MLA Sukumar Mahata, was attacked at a stone's throw from the local police station. Police reached the spot soon and riot control force was called in.

These were one sided violent attacks by BJP workers and the candidate herself. Serious crime. They needed to be arrested but Mamata clearly has told her workers and the police to avoid any violence against these women. The videos are very clear. There was absolutely no retaliation by any TMC person. Rekha Patra and BJP are in sheer desperation and are exposing themselves badly. Many of them willgotoprison unfortunately; simply victims if Modi and Suvendu's greed, lies and depravity.

Get your facts correct. These are not BJP supporters. These are women who were persecuted by the TMC thugs led by Sk Shahjahan. For 12-13 long years they have been persecuted, their family members beaten up, lands grabbed illegally, women molested, people murdered and rest more fortunate ones were driven out by these thugs. These thugs were given police protection. Read about Pradip Mondal and how he was murdered by these thugs while the police cordined off the area. His son has secured 14th rank in this years HS exams. Only recently these women mustered some courage and lodged complaints with the Court who in turn orrdered a CBI inquiry. Now TMC thugs under police protection are again trying to pressurize these poor women to take back their complaints. Women chased after them when they got to know that. Their patience has run out and they are not even afraid anymore as they have nothing to lose now. You are demeaning their struggle when you are branding them as mere supporters of a political party. When they started the agitation some months ago there were nobody who stood beside them
