THE SERIES CONTINUES!! BUT WITH MORE TRANSPARENCY!! Wednesday's are my wedding vids, and thought I got married on 8/13, the wedding talk/advice/ideas will live on!! The first thing we must talk about is our Venue!!

Facility is not accessible to the physically challenged. I attended an evening wedding with my 80-year-old mother in a wheelchair. It was also raining.
At Park 31, there is no portico with an overhang to drop off guests in inclement weather. There are no handicapped parking places. Once parked, there is no wheelchair ramp leading to the front of the facility, only a gravel path.
So picture me, trying to hold an umbrella over her and myself while dressed for a formal, evening wedding and push-steering her in gravel with one hand. Then we get to the end of the gravel approach and see ... stone steps that are now slippery in the rain.
Only after we got inside the facility did I find that the only other option was the service entrance - not an ideal workaround since it has signs that say, "No Parking" and "Loading and Unloading Only". You may also note that the service parking lot is on an incline - not wheelchair friendly.
When it came time to leave, I went out to move the car to the service entrance anyway. There was no lighting on most of the path back to the parking lot - I traversed several hundred feet in near total darkness.
As for the wedding, because it was raining and the outdoor seating is composed of low stone benches, the ceremony "under the oaks" was rerouted indoors - to where the dinner with place settings had already been set up. Definitely the most unusual way I've witnessed an exchange of vows. The tables were close together, making the traditional two-by-two approach of the wedding attendants impossible.
I'm not sure how much the venue had to do with this versus the caterer, but there was one charcuterie board set up for over 100 participants. It was set up in a tight hallway right next to the bathrooms and we were jostling with the servers who were getting the chafing dishes set up right behind us.
In conclusion, if you add in the fact that it's so far out of San Antonio, and it's not my favorite venue for local weddings, I'm sad to report.

Congrats! I have been looking at park 31 and really fell in love with the venue online. What was your guest count? And how was the pricing per guest for catering?
It is amazing!!! In person it’s even better!! GO SEEEE IT!!!
My guest count was close to 200!! And we did stations instead of actual head count plates. (Which was the cheaper option for us!) they have several different caterers that they work with and they are all amazing!! I 1000000/10 recommend 🤌🏼
