I really like this case style, narrow fish tank. Also like that Corsair has added 140mm fan support (and 280 rad support), both on the side and on top... which is missing on some of the competition.
@universemaster100 that is a really good question. Was beating myself up abt not getting this case, but u brought up a good point. My montech 903 has air going to where the psu is so the gpu fans can intake from there too.
@@ezoez7548 the whole bottom of the 3500x has a mesh screen filter on it if I'm not mistaken, so the entire bottom of the case is ventilated. someone can correct me if I'm wrong..
@aaronlong4754 ofc the bottom is ventilated. Was talkimg about sides so the cold air that's coming in from the intake fans goes into it. The psu is getting fresh air but then sending it into the little space it's in. If the side were open it would allow for it to throw out air better, and get colder air in. Also it would allow for the gpu fans to intake colder air too
i love these corsiar fans, the sides are subtle but playful and i like how clean and soft they look, everything is white and cohesive! i would buy them in a heartbeat if there would be reverse versions too
Don’t understand why people don’t like the video titles. Out of all the people these companies listen to it is definitely influencers before us consumers. Plus Nick has always been honest with problems and things he doesn’t like in these videos. if the only thing you can find a problem with are his videos titles than I see that as a good thing! Keep it up guys !
Just did a build in this case. I got the case for $65 from microcenter. For that price, it is insane value for money. My temps are really good. 7600x3d, 650 Tuff motherboard, same fans and aio as in the video(black), 7900XT.
just got done building in this case today. whwen it comes to just sheer room to move around in its one of the best for the form factor. Its so relieveing to just open the case and get to work, but if I had a motherboard with the connection in the back id almost do it. Im not one to do cable managing ever and I used most, but not all of the included zip ties and have one HDD and 1 SSD and the back is hardly petruding at all. Overall building experience was an easy 8/10. Only thing Id say I had trouble with was the daisy chained fans, but once you understand them its sper easy from there to add more
Great review on this case. Not to sound rude, or I hope no one takes this the wrong way but..... depending on fans three fans can cost as much as two cases. Im switching to Itx builds and using non rgb fans. RGB fan pricing is getting ridiculous. I understand with the new tech it makes it easier to set up but here in Canada 3 QX120's cost $220. For 9 fans I can get a motherboard and a cpu if last gen amd I can get memory cpu and a motherboard.
Dudem there is not point complaining in the positionable bracket for horizontal GPU, if yu want to use another bracket, just use it and dont rotate it.
I just hate the fact that they still haven’t listened to the fact that we want open PCI bracket slots! I know that you don’t need a vertical GPU with this case, but I don’t like that huge gap, and if I want to install a vertical mount it won’t be compatible yet again with corsair cases! NZXT fixed this a while ago… Apart from that, this thing is a beauty.
The fans under the gpu seems kinda useless imo, what kind of optimal airflow would that even achieve? Just an overall meh case imo There are better ones out there. I for one still think the 4000d and 5000d are better, the 5000d I own. And Lian li cases have been getting my attention as well.
I think it would be cool if you could do a personal ranking of how this case stacks up with other cases youve reviewed... Maybe do like your top 10 etc 🙏... Also break down with stats with scores out of 5/10.. ranking from build quality, features, looks, cable management, value, price etc 🙏
Do you have to have a shift-PSU for this one, or does it work with a normal one too? (I've got a Corsair RM 850 as we speak, but would be nice to not have to buy a new one...)
Good review but it's completely absurd that you didn't mention the Phanteks NV5 as a price and build comparison. These two are exactly direct competitors on both fronts.
@@GearSeekers Makes sense. As far as I know the only differences in the V2 are back connector support and the PSU cover is removable. As long as they kept pricing the same, any comparison to the V1 would hold true with the V2.
@@GearSeekers Well the NV5 MK2's only major difference is that it has back connector support. And even then the MK1 isn't quite sunset yet. There is no White MK2 yet (which will be annoying as they are raising the price by 10$ and the white already was 110$ without any fans)
Nice video, what do you think about this compared to the NV5? Im using a 2500X atm but its too small for my build, and the only Backward Connector mobo is for AM5 is an MATX size. And seems Phateks missed a huge oppertunity with their new NV5 MK2 by not including MATX slots for BTF boards(also the majority of BTF/Project Zero boards are MATX so not sure who did the research for them)
still waiting for a narrow fishtank between Dan a3 and Ap201. vertical gpu mount only these single wide fishtanks are still too wide (bigger than 20cm) or too tall theres no proper ITX/matx fishtank case. The meshroom and Dan A3 come close but still have front mesh
Antec's C3 came with 4 argb fans my biggest problem with it is that it has 160mm of clearence for the CPU cooling. However Corsair's 3500x has a little more quality features. Like back connections for the newest Mb. a quality dust fulter at the bottom, better USBs, etc. But I prefer the look of the C3. However if i had to pick one between them I'd pick Corsair 3500x
@@zetter5888 No it wouldnt( especially if you vertical GPU mount), besides the only AM5 board with BTF is an MATX board(B650M). The majority of BTF boards are MTX. The reason you buy a case like this is for the Backwards connector support.
The graphics card is very heavy. Isn’t the motherboard supposed to be in a horizontal shape to reduce the burden? Why aren’t computer boxes made in a horizontal shape?!! Where are the scholars?!! The two fans on top of the PSU shrout are choking. No intake for them, that's seriously a crime.
Ryan ?
I’m curious how it affects GPU temps when compared to other cases, something that isn’t seem to be mentioned in this video

itll work with a regular PSU, it will only make cable management slightly more challenging

Where did you find those H150i LCD with XT (with RGB) fans? Corsair has it only with QX fans in US.
