Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

When I was about 5 years old, my father gave me this figure as a present for '''Child's day'' in Chile. I was so happy to have my favourite super hero with so much articulation. Then it came one of the biggest regrets of my childhood, when I took it to kindergarden and some kid stole it from me. I was so sad and still am whenever I see this. Those where good times. I hope someday I can find this figure once again to add it to my collection.

Have that figure and I must say it had the first "butterfly Joint" I ever saw at least in my collection. I was bothered by the crooked fingers when I tried to make him do Thwipping hands so I switched the left hands of this and the first Raimi SPIDER-MAN figure. now both of them can Thwip and also make a fist at the same time.
You know, now that Tobey Maguire and OG green goblin have been rumored to return, it wont be a coincidence if we get an updated marvel legends version of them

My goodness, someone call Huey Lewis and the news, we gotta go back in time! This is such a classic figure. I really hope Hasbro give us some new versions of the old Rami figures.
2022 will be another great year in the books for Hasbro if they do it right. Similar to this year being the year of X-men for Marvel Legends, both Comic and Movie-wise, 2022 can be Spider-Man themed: Not only will it be 20 years of Raimi's Spidey, it will be 60 years of Spidey in general, everything is set there for then to hit a home run if they do it right.
Think about it, 10 Years of Amazing Spider-Man, 20 years of Raimi Spidey, 60th birthday in general, I honestly hope they don't pass up on the opportunity.

I still have mine from when I was a kid. This Spider-Man figure is my absolute favorite and I played it so much and had so much fun with it. I believe I was maybe 6 years old when I got him. To this day it is still my favorite (though there might be some bias there because I grew up with it). I'm 22 now and I have him displayed with my MCU Marvel Legends Spider-Man figures. I also still have my Wilem Dafoe Green Goblin with the removable mask but he's all damaged from me playing with it so much.
Me and my friend had the exact same figure he had 2 and give 1 to me and we had them for so long then my little cousin broke both of them like chewing on them or smacking them of a table or some sort and I miss that figure it's so good man

Actually, this figure has more articulation than what it seems, you just need to know how yo use it/unlock it. The head pivot articulation can be done by rotating the neck and head separately. It does have ankle pivot too, but the feet sculpt around the ankle doesn't let the feet to make the movement, you just need to modify them by cutting some of the sides

Awesome!!! Since I have been a big Spider-Man Fanboy for many years, I got this figure and the 1st movie figure when they first came out. Can not find the Base or the Gargoyle base! Somewhere in the house, or, Tragically, I threw them out!!! But, I have the Figures and many others( Magnet Spidey's, pre-movie Spidey's, etc.) Good to see people still have and cherish these old ToyBiz pioneering Action figures!!!! This is why we collect and take care of classic things!!!

I used to have this spider-man toy. One time I took it in to my school (I was in 1st grade) and on the end of the day, someone stole it from me. I knew exactly a guy who did it, but teachers didn't listen to me, so i let it be. It was the first thing someone stole from me and I was devastated by that...

Maybe it will show up when I'm not looking for it! I have a lot of old ToyBiz figures because I am a big time Marvel Nerd (And proud of it!!!) and that was all we could get back then. I actually went to a collectors store today and saw this figure in a bag of an assortment of random figures for only $15 so I knew I had to buy it and I am now a proud owner of this figure
A new version in 2022 definitely needs to happen, complete with Tobey head and Alley Save MJ.

This was my first ever Spider-Man action figure, I got the Sandman BAF version, never bothered to finish the wave. For whatever reason I liked to throw him up in the air and one day his left forearm snapped off, I tried gluing it back but it hasn't stayed. Then his right knee joint has torn itself apart so now he has one permanently straight leg, and somehow his upper back broke and I had to glue his neck in place. I'm kicking myself for not taking better care of him cuz I still love him a lot.
I used to have this Sam Raimi spiderman figure. I absolutely loved this toy. I wouldn’t let it go,until the toy broke sadly. I was to rough with the toy xD. But I do have the pizza spidy it’s my favorite one also.

Finger articulation will be unlikely for they rather give interchangeable hands, Toe articulation maybe and maybe not, the only Toe articulation Hasbro does in my collections are the 12 inches Marvel Legends Spiderman. Spiderman should have toe articulation.

Dude I got one of these from Germany when the 2nd (I think) movie was around. Just from a normal store. It was the one with the billboard and holy shit that was the greatest toy ever. Im sure it didnt cost alot back then, but looking at those now, only collectors have them and they cost 100s of dollars. Really sad. I still have the one I got like almost 20 years ago but I played with it for years and It has lost an arm and toes. Would be great if I could get a new one from somewhere...

I found this figure at a local swat meet months ago. But he was missing fingers on one hand. I bought him anyway(he was only being sold for 1 dollar) he's in great condition. Just the fingers on one hand were missing. I'm hoping I can make new fingers or hand somehow.

I agree , it is a nice figure, lot of articulation. I have the hasbro version, some issues with hand articulation.
So I have 3 of these figures in the box but unfortunately the box is ripped off from the back - they haven't been opened fully tho. Does anyone know good ways to repair the box? Even tho the box is kind scuffed I rather keep them in the those. Thank you!
Not a marvel fan anymore, but I still have my Spidey movie figs today. Wouldn’t get rid of them for anything. I still have the one with the pizza scooter and Toby head. Plus, I have him flipping the bird as he swing away with the Kirsten MJ every so often on my shelf.

@@k.bermejo7334 It’s just what they did to Peter Parker Spider-Man as he was my favorite, both regular and Ultimate. And not a fan of the current movies, only the Rami three and Blade ones. Been getting away from comics and only collecting one or two properties lately.

But up until the first reboot, Ultimate series change in characters, and erasure of years of history, I was a fan but these new movies and books have changed the character to where he’s not easy to identify with which is why many fans and myself like certain characters. I’m mostly just waiting for new a Young Justice seasons and a few DC titles here and there.

10/10 only sad thing is that the figure if you find one new ,the right leg , the lower part where it connects to the joints bends due to age and honestly if they re released this figure with super possibilities and with those hands which I like I would buy it with no question.
The Spider-Man 3 version the joints on the shoulders is that has metal pins and honestly are better for possibility for poses. And honestly it’s so sad that that they’re so expensive. I loved the San raimie Spider-Man movies i wish that 3 was done better tho.

I remember back when the first Sam Rami / Tobey Maguire Spider-Man came out and my friends dropped by ordered me to get into my friends vehicle and we saw it on the fly and I still feel partial to that movie maybe it hasn't aged well but I like Sam Rami and I enjoyed Willem Dafoe's Green goblin complete with split personality soliloquies
I think Hasbro is waiting for 2022 to do a lot of Spider-Man figures. Because it'd be the 60th anniversary of Spidey's first appearance, 20 years since Spider-man 2002, and ten years since Tasm. Plus the new MCU movie and the new ITSV movie. (I know Shartimus already said this)

I love this figure but I hated that it does not have ankle pivot, so I made a little modification and exchange the lower half of the legs with another Toybiz Raimi Spider-man, I think it was the twist n shoot Spider-man, and to this day is one of my favorites
