I can't help thinking the beautiful Blue Pullman would look stunning with buffer beams as some class 43 HST sets also had Hull Trains and some East Midland sets. When the prototype class 89 entered service Kings Cross - Peterborough a Class 43 unit was utilised as a driving trailer for push-pull operation fitted with buffers. I enjoy your videos, Thank You!

Personally I'm in favour of the original sleek front end but I can understand your thinking. Thanks for watching

Great footage as always Les. I happened to be fishing on the end of the big pier in Whitehaven so I had a great view of the Midland Pullman snaking it's way around the coast!

The Blue Pullman is still my favourite train and this HST version looks the part. Always well presented train and staff with their replica uniforms give it that special touch.

This proves how superb these HST trains are still after 50 years of service and can still do 125 mph

That is true, and Locomotive Services put the best of the Great Western seats in the Pullman from the last refurbishment before turning just into Castle sets.

Such a beautiful train The Midland Pulman . That Colas 70 must have some power to pull those logs up Blae Moor. Thank you

In an age when there are some hideous liveries about - especially down south - the Midland Pullman is just perfect. It always films well.

I wonder if anything was afoot when both the spent ballast and the logs were both directed through 'C' road. That Class 70 made a most satisfactory low level growl - compared to the previous DRS Class 66 - as it pulled away with the logs.

I expect it was down to whichever signaller was on the station panel. They do make a nice sound, showing the ease at which they can haul a load

Just ONE wagon load of those logs would keep my wood burner fuelled up for the rest of my life....!
The Blue Pullman looks fantastic. Long it may continue. I'll book a ride on it when I retire.
That front bogie wasn't very far away from the P4's edge.....

Yes 20-21 wagons all going into board for constrution! I'd like to be able to afford the Pullman too!
