I totally get the dark humour and poking fun at yourself during all this. I do the same. Ironically enough I was told at 28 I went through menopause. I am going through donor egg IVF .. it’s been 7 years and still waiting on our miracle. We have 5 embryos in storage thanks to our beautiful donor. Sending all the positive vibes on your little embryo ❤

It took me 7 years and 13 rounds of IVF to have my beautiful baby boy 💫
We went through 5 rounds of IVF. Unexplained. One pregnancy with twins, only made it to 10 weeks. Had to transition from trying to be parents to saving for retirement. We spent so much trying. I’m such an optimist, it wasn’t a matter of if, it was a matter of when; however, it didn’t happen for us.
Prayers this works for you guys again! It’s such a gut wrenching process, rollercoaster of emotions.

Having Larry as Liam’s biological father is very special. He looks like he’s on the verge of tears when Liam’s name is mentioned. So heartwarming 🥰
But he’s not Larry had a vasectomy they had a sperm donor

Who’s Liam?
I changed Clinics.... The Drs tgere do hysteroscopy. And i needed a Laparoscopy to clean up endometriosis coating my female reproductive system. New team cleaned up everything, and we got 15 eggs, and 6 made it for transfer.
My baby is due os 2 weeks! Changing to a new team made the biggest difference!! I did not want to change Drs. But my mom advisede to change clinics.
We are so excited pur baby is die on a few weeks after waiting 5 years, Glad we changed clinics!
Never be afraid to change Drs. After 5 years we made it....

I jumped onto this video sooooooo fast!!! My question was the same about asking about the clinic also. I know some people will change after a few fails- but then you see Liam and smile because that’s where that precious baby was made ❤I am sending you guys all of my love!! This one is it we can all feel it ❤❤❤
I think it's clear that the people who say to switch clinics do not work in health care. Everyone's health is different, with that being said most Healthcare facilities including the one I work at go above and beyond for our patients. Mindy, you and Larry are a beautiful family and I pray that baby Nemo 2.0 is healthy! ❤
Reproductive technology is rapidly changing and the industry is fairly unregulated in the US. Every clinic has their own policies and one reproductive obgyn’s opinion on best practices or protocol will vary from the next, sometimes significantly. As someone who went through the process, I can say that it is not like other areas of health care. Women are told very different advice from one clinic to the next. There are many variables involved and sometimes you need to find a clinic willing to switch up your protocol at the risk of forsaking their own transfer success rates.
@shannontrucks1708 even in other areas of care, sometimes a second opinion is the one you needed! I definitely dont think they're scamming like mindy mentioned some people suggested. However who knows if a different approach might prove more successful.

About the advice you were given, to change clinics, just so you know, it's not because patients assume that the doctor or lab are not professionals or not doing the right things. Rather, every lab has its own protocols and slightest differences in methods and procedures. Sometimes, for some patients, changing labs makes all the difference.

Yey! Baby Nemo made it to blastocyst stage! 😄🎉 Just like Larry keeps saying, "we only need one", and one it is... 🥰 I'm so happy for you, guys! It's still really early and we don't know what's coming ("knock on wood"), but you know what? Even when you received the news that you were down to 2 fertilized eggs, inside me, a great sense of peace remained as if they were giving you the best news ever! 😊 I don't know if it's a feeling or the will to see you with another baby on your arms, but I just feel super calm and at peace whenever an update comes up. This is it! Best of wishes, fairy dust and prayers coming your way! You've got this! 🥰

Also if your cycles are normal lengths you should look into a modified natural cycle. No progesterone shots and only a trigger shot. Its more monitoring but so worth it. I have had 2 out of 3 transfers that were successful off of a modified natural.

The changing clinics was a good question. I just wonder why they didn’t up your dosages this round in hopes of increasing the egg count. Especially considering this was your third egg retrieval!! Why keep the same dosages when each time you haven’t had the more favorable outcomes… ? And with you having low reserve I would assume they’d change your doses. 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ I’m so happy for the ONE🤍🥰🤍🤍 Big hugs!!!

Just remember that sometimes changing clinics isn’t about the clinic or them having nefarious intentions. Some clinics/practitioners have more experience with low egg reserves or trigger timing. Your current team sounds very professional; I doubt they would begrudge a family trying other options.

Hey Mindy, I will pray for you and your family. I always say, say what you mean and mean what you say. You keep saying you just want one or you would be okay with just one but when you get just the one. You are surprised. Pray for as many as God will allow you to have then continue to pray that they all make it. I don’t think that you wanting and praying for more than one is a bad thing. I’m sure this journey is tuff but I was married and we tried for 9 months before I got pregnant. I was never on birth control, we didn’t use any protection and it still took that long for us. I truly believe in God and I know he has a plan for each of us. It’s not always easy but have faith and I know y’all will never give up so relax if it is god’s will it will happen again just as it did with liam😊

Praying you'll be rewarded a healthy pregnancy and birth...as I learn more about fertility and all that I'm extremely thankful for my baby...my husband was 63 and I was two months shy of 35 when I got pregnant...I had a high risk pregnancy and birth and baby had heart surgeries to survive but is now thriving and completely healthy...my uterus was not good I had a hysterectomy......now knowing about your journey and others I'm so thankful and amazed at the miracle babies are .... praying for you ❤

Hi mindy, I usually don't comment on these kind of things, but i wanted to let you know that just because they pick the strong swimmers doesnt mean their good quality, all they know is that the sperm looks good from the outside, but they can't see what the actual quality of them is on in inside. (same goes for your eggs btw).
Therefore, it could be a multitude of things why the eggs dont fertilize (could be your quality of eggs or lary's quality of sperm or both).
I'm sure your doctor could tell you more about it.
