James is getting really really good at this. His personality shines brighter and brighter with every new video. So rad that hes doing his thing and putting out content.
Great interview. Just think if james could have been this structured and disciplined when he was racing he would more than likely have broken every record, set new ones and they probably would have never been broken.
I met him a handful of times, like 5 or 6, and he remembered me since the 2nd time I saw him. Made me an instant fan. He was and is such a good ambassador.
Seeing James chilling in the back of the side by side rolling through the Daytona pits a few weeks ago with a smile growing ear to ear was such a great experience I’ll never forget
This is by far The Best Video/Podcast yet… now it needs to be the Kids On The Couch Reunion podcast! Class Act Jeremy and the Humble Fan Js7… I seriously loved this and I was glued to every single second of this video.
Epic ...... RUclips just blow up. Great video JS may all things stay gold. We love it and want more of it. Been a fan since day one and seeing you guys talk old times with "Showtime" will go down in History as one of the Best Motocross podcasts ever. Team 7 for Life
Jeremy is authentic. I was there at Gatorback for 3 day’s camping in a tent right outside the track when he won his first outdoor motorcross National. I was the last guy in line when he was signing autographs. He stayed till the end after everyone had left and signed my Metallica hat. He was my first autograph from the dirt bike racing scene. I have since taken my son to the pits at Daytona and my son and I have got pics with Jeremy, Emig, Bradshaw , Craig, a 125’s riding Carmichael and many more. The pits were so laid back then.
98' Minneapolis, McGrath dominates. After the race his pit area was mobbed by crazy fans, me being one of them. He and Button took their time with everybody, taking pics, signing stuff, and making sure all the fans were takin care of. Like no big deal. They weren't in a hurry to catch a flight or something. The KING!
James…. It’s awesome to have you back in the sport!! Best podcasts and reviews by far. J-Mac was the most humble guy ever. Back in the day at Perris raceway he took the time to talk to a bunch of us local kids and was the coolest ever.
This is rly cool. I'm just starting getting my son into racing. I have been telling him stories of these two guys and here they both are. God bless you guys.
They say the best things in life are free. This podcast, with two humble SuperMotoCross legends is right up there with the best of things. Thank you James for such an amazing podcast 🙏
You Guys are Really Good Dudes ,I really enjoyed this episode .. You two Were My Favorites for real its awesome to hear stories of races I Rermember. I became a 7 fan that night Mc took you out and You guys talked about...Thank You ,Bubbas World
So many great memories of the 90s moto life. Mc did so much for the sport, fans loved the guy, a gracious champion that had a huge impact on millions of people. He has always kept it real. Showtime is the man.
Man it is so sick to see my 2 favorite superstars talking about the great times they had together! What an awsome pod James! Keep up the great content bro!
McGrath and Carmichael are the reason I really got into Dirt Bikes... I happen to know someone that worked for the SX promotors in the 90's. For a several years we were able to get into the Pontiac Silver Dome while they were building the tracks... We got pit passes and had that opportunity to meet Jeremy, he was the sequential pro SX rider. He took the time to talk with us... he knew how important the fans are to the sport. Jeremy appreciated those of us that were hacks that rode local dirt and trails. Just like Arnold Palmer. Palmer was approachable, talked to his fans loved to know the hackers were playing on the local Muni course
Yamaha did Jeremy dirty. I didn't know all that. I'm a Yamaha guy, and a big reason for that was Jeremy McGrath in his prime. Man that sucks. But I'm glad Honda gave him the last few years that he needed to gain some closure on his career. The King of Supercross and the Fastest Man on the Planet together just shooting the shit. It's beyond entertaining. I feel blessed just to witness the greatness of this sport. So cool that you guys can look back and laugh on any past drama or beef. I love that. It's a learning lesson for us all. It's shows growth and maturity and it's part of the evolution of this sport. The greatest sport on earth, imo. You guys are living legends. MC, RC, RV, Bubba... you guys have had the biggest impact and influence on the sport because you were the ones that pushed racing to new levels right when when it mattered the most, when everything else was evolving with it... the technology, the performance, the gear, the tracks, the money that went into programs for testing and training, and then at the same time the sport was growing with all the media hype and corporate sponsors. It was all perfectly Divine Timing. When the sport went corporate, maybe it wasn't so fun for the athletes because it became more serious about championships, bragging rights, marketing, selling bikes, and all the money on the line... but it sure as hell made it fun for the fans. And that's what it's all about. You guys wouldn't be famously decorated and admired athletes with illustrious careers if you didn't have devoted fans. Of course you know that. Which is why we love it when you guys give back and stay relevant. You guys pushed the sport to new levels in every way; progression, style, culture, domination, etc. You guys made the sport even more badass, and that's why I've always looked up to you. You guys are special, and you've definitely inspired me in my life, so God bless you.
Wow as someone who was a HUGE fan of MC as a little boy, I’m so stoked to see how dope he is now that I’m older. This dude is so calm cool and collected. Rad!
you guys are and had amazing carrers, i loved growing up playing yall in the video games in the 90's, 90's Yamaha's were the best! hope you guys get Ricky and others all together to do a big group roundtable. that would be awesome. yall realize you were the inspirations of pushing and having fun on those machines for having the nitro circus generation. that all came from the ones watching you all race. and its been incredible to see all this happen over the years!!!! much love to all you guys!!!
Each time I met Jeremy he was just as james describes! So down to earth and I was able to spend a little time with him in the late 90s I felt like we could have totally loaded our bikes up and gone out and rode together! Always the King! Thanks for the podcast!
That was really awesome to see both of my favorite riders sit around and hear their perspective on things. They both changed the sport in a massive way. James brought up golf during the conversation which I love both sports and Jeremy and James are the Nickolas and Tiger of motocross. I really enjoyed the show keep them coming!
Bro......... JS7 and the 👑!!! 😁😁😁😁😁😁 I could listen to these 2 talk SX and MX all day. Would love to see MC come back on with RC and hear that conversation........ by far the 3 greatest riders of all time, statistically and talent wise imo. Damn I'm glad I found this channel, thanks for the awesome content Bubba ✌
James is telling the truth -- he REALLY knows Jeremy's career!!! I remember seeing James at an Anaheim supercross in the pits one year -- signing autographs, taking pictures, and shaking hands. Every so often, he would slyly move his left hand across his body to the other side so a family member in a Yoshimura Suzuki jacket standing behind him could fulfill his duty -- administering a squirt of hand sanitizer while James continued smiling to the fans and in preparation for more interaction!
MC was always my hero. He was the best when I started riding, but even more than that, he was just cool, the guy. I always felt like he was just a cool guy who loved racing. I used to have dreams where I would meet him out riding and we would just go ride together, like he was just one of the guys. I'll never forget though, 2000, Pontiac 1 Supercross. I waited in line forever to get an autograph, finally got to the front of the line and got my autograph. I asked Jeremy if my gf could get a picture of us. His little PR guy or whoever came over and was like no pictures. Jeremy just looked at him and said ya sure thing. That photo is one of my greatest memories. Me and the King, and his little PR guy in the background looking pissed, lol.... Always there for his fans, and thats why we were his fans...
Man i grew up watching McGrath race... my dad worked with another firefighter who rode and had cable so he would record the races on vhs and leave the tape in my dads locker lol....90s were great time.
Jeremy is a brilliant balance of measured cockiness. supremely confident while sensitive to the importance of modesty. describing lining up knowing everyone else was beat. you can almost feel what that might be like when he describes it so calmly. how many individual sport athletes have been in that position? Mike Tyson? who else?
As a kid every grocery store visit ment I got to see the racer x mag, a couple weeks before the atlanta Supercross that year . I remember seeing that MC came out during a race to do a couple laps and nac nacs on his bud light ktm and I had my dad and I waiting after the race thinking that he would come out as ppl were leaving . He nacer came out lol 😂Being 11 at the time anything was possible
totally different experience than what i had with mcgrath when i was a kid growing up riding. i remember running into him, ryno, and metz out in the hills filming for steel roots. me and my buddies were so star struck to see mcgrath just out free riding in the hills so we naturally wanted to talk to him. he had just signed with suzuki for the 97 season so it was cool to see him on his new bike. however, once we got up the nerve to talk to him and tried to say "hi" his only response to us was "i don't have time for this, can't you see i'm f*ckin working?". i will never forget that and even now i'm still not a fan. he puts on a show and that's why they called him "showtime".
The golden age of the sport was the peak of our civilization. Mechanical technology was really good. Property was cheap, jobs were plentiful and Japan made really fast affordable 2 stroke race bikes. It was the 90s.
Can you guys go out on a trail ride after your podcasts and gopro it for all of us to see? All of us would love to see an out with the boys ride with you and McGrath.
Its weird to hear James talk about the early/mid 90's, because I see him as a younger dude. But, I forget he has been racing since he was very very young... in the 90's..
Reminiscing on chummy times but let's not forget when Baba came into Supercross he was talking about how he's going to take down McGrath 72 wins. You need to be cocky at that level & MC just wiped off the threat LOL
James is getting really really good at this. His personality shines brighter and brighter with every new video. So rad that hes doing his thing and putting out content.
Im gay for jeremy
Great interview. Just think if james could have been this structured and disciplined when he was racing he would more than likely have broken every record, set new ones and they probably would have never been broken.
I thought we wouldn’t get a show this week because of the break, Stew never disappoints.
I've never heard anything but great stories of the King and how he treated people. Great role model!
I met him a handful of times, like 5 or 6, and he remembered me since the 2nd time I saw him. Made me an instant fan. He was and is such a good ambassador.
what about getting caught impersonating a police officer?

2 great riders who also happen to have great personalities. Accolades aside, these guys truly deserve their success off the track as well...

Thanks James! Coming in clutch when the other shows took a break. And with Showtime himself!

MC won so much. I mean, holy crap, if they were neck burnin' in the 90s, McGrath would've needed a Pyrex helmet.
