Hi Steve. How many players on the PGA tour move their lower center as Mike describes? I have watched your video. "Perfect Your Plan With This Easy Drill". Your description of how to stop the axil from wobbling is the best I have ever seen. I understand why you based your teaching philosophy on Mike Austin's teaching. Mike was way ahead of his time. I see that Dr. Kwon's research is based on what Mike taught. It's precisely the same pelvis motion as Mike Austin talked about. What I never heard Mike talk about was the recentering that Dr. Kwon talked about on the transition, shoulders, and hips closed then rotate open. Would appreciate your feedback, keep up the good work, and have a great day.
Tremendous … utmost importance... Hey Steve thanks … I never saw this one on you tube... I never got Austinology video. The ones I have seen are great. However, after the pursuit of the Holy Grail of golf, I rank this as Ichi Bon!!!
All good, but NO matter what, you still need to play off perfect tour conditions,as all average golfers know from hitting off the driving range mats which what the pros are doing
Its fascinating stuff...But, don't be concerning yerself too much about stuff like this if your at Western Gailes near Troon in Scotland , used for THE OPEN qualifying.?..the only time you'll have anything like a LEVEL STANCE is when yer on the T BOX & 9 times out of ten it will be blowing a gale . If yer thinking about this stuff you won't t break 120...
@@Inmotion70 in this text Mike Austin demonstrates weight on the right leg. The leg is straight. In dunaways book he tells us to practice with a golf ball under the right foot to prevent the sway in the backswing.
@@brantcollier7836 my understanding is that you’ve created the right side of a rigid A frame (with the spine and the right leg)that can now support the hinge of the left side to freely round the corner to the finish of the back swing. You then allow the bottom of your spine to pendulum (which keeps the head in place) to connect your spine to your left leg, making an A frame to the front to reverse everything, allowing the right to release and round the corner hitting the ball to your side. When I do it, I’m driving straight and longer than ever. It’s just so many new movements, it’s going to take me a while to have as second nature. The back shift is to 4 O’clock not 3 like the wall drill made me think.
Yeah, Mike’s inability to demonstrate made it quite vague. Here’s some other images to use from Mike: - navel over insteps, back and through. - break the barrel with your hips. - hips move like a bell clapper. - hips move up and down. Right rises on backswing, left rises on through swing. - spine creates a (seemingly) straight post from 7th vertebrae to right instep on backswing and to the left foot on through swing. It’s a weird sensation if you’ve been indoctrinated with the “modern” swing but probably the most effective way for a human body to hit the golf ball. Steve’s a great teacher. BTW, Steve, if you’re reading this, I “run my knee at the ball” (Hogan) or otherwise Dunaway’s 10 o’clock position with good results. If my former K-reverseK kicks in, I tend to pull the ball.
Even in old age, that stroke couldnt stop his passion for golf knowledge and passing it on. Great man
Absolutely gold!! I still cannot believe this is not more widely taught. Makes perfect sense, and best of all, works exactly as they teach.

Great video! The hip work makes so much sense to me now which is something Iv struggled with!
Thank you for uploading all of these
8:11-8:14 Moe Norman referred this motion as: "the feeling of greatness:".
The longest journey starts with a step. That 6 year old Mike Austin golf lesson down by the creek making ripples throughout time.
Hit a drive 515 yds with a 43 inch driver and a ballata ball .I would say listen to his teaching
Great lesson ... a lot to think about.
Best lesson ever for trying to understand the right leg position.
Absolutely wonderful tips
Wow, this is indeed gold.

That's great Vinson!
Gold.. thank you
Hi Steve, what starts first in backswing of Mr Mike Austin? Thanks.
Just love this.
You would think with such a great swing he would have played on the PGA tour and won some majors.
Couldn't putt.
@@Inmotion70 should have used a hockey stick like Happy Gilmore.
I think he made more money on bets and exhibitions and such. Plus he probably didn’t have a competitive short game.
The Master knows body parts like a chiropractor.
Better. He was a walking talking medical text book. For good and for bad.
Similar to Colin Montgomery and Sam Snead.
Mike apparently didn’t like Sam’s downswing squat. Otherwise he complimented Sam’s swing.

Light bulb moment thank you
Mike Austin taught to let the weight move to the outside of the right foot. Dunaway believed that the outside of the right foot should not be reached.
Where did you see this?

".....the whole key to the swing is making a single spine from the sternum slot"
please explain?? thx

Did he say 4, 200 pound men, which got nothing out of Dunaway.
No, he said 2 400 pound men! Misspoke?
So many aha - moments!!
I didn't understand this video at all.
Sorry about that. Can you think of any specific question you have?

He was jacked for an older guy
Sounds like a surgeon was he a doctor?
